Well, i found an old supersoaker in my attic, it shot three streams of water. So i opened it up and its pretty much a Supermaxx gun, except the air tank is huge. So what i did was sawed off the front of the case, and took out the air splitter. I then added about a 6 inch barrel. The thing takes a long time to pump, which is why im thinking of adding an electric air compresser. But anyway, after pumping, i shot with a yellow/purple micro dart and it got about 60 feet. So after a few barrel mods later, i added a 30" barrel. Then i crammed a micro dart down and shot at a plastic chinese food soup can. It blew a hole in the can and the dart was intact. So, i'm thinking the range will be about 80 feet, more with Mega Stefans, if i ever get 5/8" FBR. Sorry about no pictures but i don't have a working camera.

How far away were you when you shot the can, becuase point-blank with my old (now retired) Red Moose which shot 180' put a huge dent in a can, not a hole. So I'd say that thing can shoot more than 80'.

Where would you get an electric air compressor? Has anybody else used one on a gun before?

I read somewhere that a converted super soaker claimed to shoot 200'-300' flat and shot on an angle it shoots like 400'. Someone got shot with it and got a open bleeding wound. I would like something that shoots that far just for fun

Geez, I'm starting to hate people who mod SS to shoot Nerf but don't do mods to decrease the number of pumps and power. What gun is it? You will want to do a check valve freeze no matter what kind of gun it is, it's the SS equivilant to release valve plugging, except it's a LOT harder(and I have done both). My site(check sig) has the first pictoral guide on how to do that. Remove the resiviour too. If it's got a nozzle selector you should have kept that and drilled some larger holes in the nozzles. After that you could add some barrels and have a better ROF.
If it's a CPS soaker, you definetly should not think that more pumps equals more pressure. CPS soakers' power comes from that rubber bladder they got. I know that on my 27000(the extra 0 means some special mods have been done), it will shoot just as far on 10 pumps as it will on 20. K modding or Collosusing will increase the power of that rubber bladder. I've done K modding before, and I'm in the process of writing a guide on how to do it(like check valve freezing it's the first pictoral guide). Collosus is less effective(and much harder) but your only option for many CPS soakers.
Adding an electric air compressor is stupid. It'll cost a ton to get a portable battery operated one, and it will be as heavy as crap.

That kinda range is almost probably mainly due to the dart used, sure if you use heavily weight darts, in a gun with a biiiiiig air tank, with a long barrel, your gonna get better range than our light weight 150range'ish darts in a gun with a small air tank and shorter barrel, but something tells me no ones gettn no 400ft with a micro stefan 1/4 fishing weight :)

Its a super soaker triple shot 85XP.
It was at point blank using micro darts, just the normal kinds.
You can by electric air compressers at hardware stores, etc.
Doom, i don't really get what you say, i'll check your site. It's one of the old ones, no air bladder or anything. Remember, i'm not using stefans.
I thought the air compresser was cool. Actually, i could just use a electric pump and manually pump it the rest of the way. You can get those for about 10$.

I find that using my modded SS is not very good in a nerf war. It takes to many pumps, too bulky and I can do just as well with my SuperMaxx 1500. Also I use a 22" barrel, 30" just seems rediculous to me.

That's one of the worst SS guns ever. It's just as good as the original ones, in fact, it's mostly uses the same design. It's shit.
Why don't you just make a homemade? I knew some people who did, and they shoot well over 200 feet, and don't take a crapload of pumps. Leave the SS guns for use as water weaponry.
