Has anyone Bought the two different kinds of recon, One being with a cage on the plunger and the other with "ARMED" on it?
I would like too know which one is more powerful or are they the same.

I've got the one with the plunger cover on it. with ARs removed it maybe gets 30-40 ft flat.

Also, i believe theres a third model of Recon where the plunger juts out from the back maybe 2-3 in. less than the one without the cover on it. But i'm not sure.

I have the original "ARMED" one, and have used the one with the black plunger tube cover, and I will say that the "ARMED" one is slightly (5'-10') better.
This of course is stock.
The "ARMED" is easier to mod simply because of the accessibility of the plunger tube.
Hope this helped.

The one without the "Armed" thing on the back is better I think
because you can add two recon springs and it gets significantly better ranges as far as i can tell
and with the other one
I couldnt get another one in it. thats my opinion

The only way to get a recon over 100' would be to throw it.-atomatron

I have both. Got the one with the 'armed' plunger maybe 2 weeks before the newer one. Ive only pulled the AR out of the 'armed' version, and its got some decent punch. I was thinking of taking that Recon spring and throwing it in my LS. I mainly use my blasters in the office, so quiet is better than painful.

I got one of the First Gen Recons and with AR's out I got 55 flat.

The Recon inverted plunger and leaky breech couldn't do 50' flat if you put a garage door spring behind it.

Now THATS an idea.....

Hasbro put the black piece over the gun for safety reasons.

I'm REALLY fucking tired of posting ranges that are "eyeballed." Don't tell people ranges if you haven't used a measuring tape.
