I just bought a longshot and i'm trying to unscrew it, but there's a couple of screws that wont unscrew.

Anyone, know how to get the screws out?

Try a flat head screwdriver.

If the head is completely stripped and there's no way you can unscrew it, there are two things I know of that you can do. One, you can take a drill with a bit roughly the same size as the head and drill away the head. Or you can take a cutting wheel to the side of it and cut the screw in two pieces (only works on screws bordering the gun). Both will make it difficult to use that screw well again because there will still be a headless screw there.

Drill them if theres not that many. You can grab whats left with pliers and replace them after getting the gun open.

But if they don't, your last chance after that would be to use a dremel with a cutting wheel and cut around the screw hole, so that you can just remove the shell.

You know what suck's? I don't have a dremel, or a drill, or a cutting wheel! Maybe there's another method for getting a stripped screw out.

I don't have any of those either, and one screw was stripped on my titan, so I Falcon Punched it. Seriously, I hit it until the plastic surrounding that screw broke off. Try a Falcon Punch.

If its close to the edge of the blaster, try taking wire cutters and snipping the plastic of until you reach the hole and snip the screw.

Unfortunately this ruins the screw, but hey, you already ruined it since you stripped the head.

Not that I know of, but my neighbors are the kind of people that have that kind of stuff. So I don't know. Any other suggestion's?

I haven't personally tried it, but another suggestion was given in a thread similar to this one; super gluing a screwdriver to the screw, and just using the screwdriver as you normally would.

That wouldn't be a good idea, as it would ruin the screwdriver... Tools are expensive.

No.
This is a bit that is reverse threaded so when you have the drill turn counter-clockwise, the bit digs into the demolished screw head, giving the drill the traction needed to remove the screw. This is a one part deal, not part of a set.

That wouldn't be a good idea, as it would ruin the screwdriver... Tools are expensive.

You could always get a cheap set of screwsdrivers from a dollar store... And besides, you probably wouldn't need to use an extremely strong glue to bond the screwdriver and screw. So, if you were able to use something like hot glue, you might be able to just chip the glue off with a knife or something later.

somebody said to take a pen tube and heat it with a lighter. Once it is maleable you jam it into the screw head and use it like a screwdriver.
