OK. There are alot of discusions on Nerf Grenades. Lots of people want them, no one has them (with the exception of the bunker buster). But now you can get them. I have discovered a Lanard Grenade. It is called a Scatter Blast. You place 6 darts in the top, pump her up and throw. It has a butten on the bottem, when it hits the ground...BOOM. Stock, this thing has enough range to clear a room. I think if you modded it it would shoot too far up and scatter too much to be effective.

Sweet! Finally, after all those years... an actual non-homemade nerf grenade!

Anyway, I've seen sports balls like this before. Where did you get it, and do you have range estimates?

I got it from Toys R Us. However, I am from Australia, so i don't know how widespread they are. As for range...I guess about a 10-15 foot radius.

Great find. I hope these come to the States soon.

How is the spread?

It fires six darts. When the darts hit the ground they are roughly 15 feet from each other, providing them are not impeaded...you know...by a person. :P

Cross shipping is an awsome idea.

Sweet find. Just a few questions about it though. How many pumps to prime? How sensitive is the trigger? Which TRU did you pick it up from ?

15-20 pumps. But you can pump this thing that quick it doesn't matter so much. If you drop it from 2 inches it will fire. But if you knock it on the side it won't. It also has a trigger lock so you can stop it from firing if you drop it.

I have seen it at both Parramatta and Erina TRUS in NSW, Australia.

Yep the tailfin is the pump.

I spotted this at an HEB here in Texas. I thought about getting one but I didn't have
the cash. May have to cough some up though.

They were 9.95.

How heavy is it? Do you think it would be possible to fire it out of a homemade or a titan?

If you had a big enough barrel . Not sure if a titan would have enough oomph however. A mate of mine wanted me to make a morter for him. I explained to him unless the "shell" exploded it wouldn't be much use, I said he would be better of with something direct fire. However, this changes all that. I might make a morter after all.

It cost me AU$20. Which is about US$16.

I would think this would be REALLY easy to dodge at ranges that would require a launcher; it's too big to move fast without becoming hazardous. However, for tight spaces with lots of cover, it could be useful, and a handful of these would be fantastic for a game of HvZ: great for rushing clumps of zombies. ~Rork

With the cannon idea my first thought was for long ranged, angled lobs. That is, if it could be done safely. Certainly not for anything close ranged.

It may be easy to dodge one, but not easy to dodge 5. Especially when you are camping on a flag.

AH! No!
Noone was supposed to see it yet, I've literally got one of these disassembled on my bench as I type. I'm in the middle of modifying it lol.
I was going to post it tonight after I've finished the mod.

Basically it's a Piston Valve system much like the Splitfire, Hornet, Blastfire, Lightning Blitz etc.
It's okayyyy, but it's still a Nerf type Grenade, so it's crap. The concept is sound though.

They weigh about 7 1/2 oz or 200grams (I weighed it just now while it's in pieces, this is without the foam wing pieces, restrictors or ammo)
Measuring with a plastic stationery ruler, the main body is rouglhy 8cm diamteter and 17.5 cm long and the total length is roughly 26cm, including the pump tail.

Ah, thought it uses the piston valve setup. It sounds like a hornet when it fires. By the way, sorry I ruined your surprise.

This looks awesome. If I can find one I will definately get it. I would think about one gun that has the oomph to shoot it and if it would just work well and be worth it.
