added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole. And there's no homemade slider to my knowledge. You can try to use a metal rod for a bolt, maybe.

There's a mod for a broken cocking handle thing in the directory. You could do that with scrap plastic or something.

This may be what you are looking for.

NerfCrazy, Blue just posted that.
And Echnalaid, that sig isn't what he said. Although funny... -_-
Anyway, silentsnipe, this is easily fixable. It happens on guns like this. (i.e., CrossFire(or strikefire, whatever), Scout, and the Firefly.)

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

just make one, it can't be too hard. Like take a piece of PVC that fits over it, cut in in half and run a bolt through it. Wah la!

I had the exact same problem that you did.

Go to your local hardware store, and buy the longest, thinnest screw you can find. I think I used a 1/8" diameter screw, but you might just have to take the slider bar with you for comparison.

Next, take your plastic silver slider shell, which should be unscrewed and in two pieces. On each of them, drill a hole where the little plastic holders were for the stock slider bar. The hole should be in the exact same place as where the stock slider bar housing is.
After that, simply put the maverick back together, and slip the screw through the holes and in front of the little plunger nub that lets you pull it back. If you did it right, the screw should go right through both holes. Take a nut and screw it on the screw. Add a washer if you want, and dremel off the excess.

Voila! You just made a slider bar that works a lot better than the stock one. Too bad the Maverick still stinks. I can't help you with that. ;)

spend $8 on materials to rebuild cocking slide,

or...

spend $8 on a new maverick.

Guess what I'd do.

God... Some of these people are just ignorant as to your problem. It made sense the first time you said it. You just need a new cock man... lol. Take a screw driver to wal-mart and steal half of a cock off another one. Or, scrap it for the spring, turret, and shell. Get a new one and turret mod it. Or better yet, do a night-mav. You don't need the other half.

I will probably get flamed for this but, That's what she said. You should just buy a new mav. You could turn the turrets into clips and save the spring. Or like assassin said spend 8 dollars on materials to fix it.
Edit:

I had the same problem, however just because I was impatient, I fixed it with a nail. I made the hole larger and pushed it through, bent the end and ground it down so it's not sharp anymore.

That is also what she said

It worked, but far from my standards.

Again, you people are misunderstanding his problem... His slide isn't broken, half of it is MISSING.
