I don't know about that. I live in England but it must be the same in America but you can get them pretty much customized to what you like so you can get nice tighter fit or a looser fit (I'm getting quoted)I have found that copper yes copper is good but only Home Depot Brand the other stuff fits my darts like 9/16 brass looser than crap.

-PVC
-CPVC
-PETG
-1/2 copper
I oust to only use CPVC because I only used stock darts but now that I make stefans I got an 800 foot roll of FBR and it fits PETG perfectly. But really I thought there was a certain type of barrel material was the best but it all depends on what your darts fit.

I also used to use markers like crazy, because they're perfect for stock darts.
I also once made a barrel out of Lego that fired megas fairly well.

For high powered air blasters I put a piece of 1/2" PVC over the crayola barrel, and it works really well most of the time.
Also, for those who have a hard time clearing out the inside of a crayola, just use a 1/2" drill bit. Wrap a rag around the non-business end then stick the cutting end in the barrel and twist away.

I use crayola barrels almost exclusively, but it's because I don't have easy access to PETG or CPVC. I also use only stock darts for now because my friends don't want to get into the stefans thing (they fear homemade darts).
