I had an attempt at making a semi-auto maverick, quite a while ago. It didn't turn out as I had hoped, there was a massive amount of air leak between the turret and the plunger. About a week ago I found it in my closet and decided to try and just glue a coupler on it and see how that worked. With an RCSB barrel assembly on it, it gets about 80 ft, 6 shots, pretty much semi-auto. (Point down to load, then shoot.) The tank hold 20 shots worth of air using the RCSB. It is also very good with a shot gun barrel, or any other attachments.

I'm amused with your choice of putting this through the Maverick xD You should give yourself a longer barrel though, with that power you can definitely improve your accuracy a bit :P

Okay thats way better than having hot glue keeping those things in there. Let me tell you its scary as hell to have one of these things blow apart in your hands. One more thing I would recomend though, drill through where the caps overlap the pipe it is much stronger.

I dont fully grasp here how the loading system works? I love the concept of the thing but how does this semi auto system function?

ok, the part circled in red acts as the magazine, the part in blue is the barrel and the green arrows show where the air goes when the trigger is pulled. What you do is insert your ammo down the barrel so it falls to the back of the magazine. Before you fire you tilt the gun forward, a dart then falls into the firing position, when you pull the trigger the air blast forces the darts in the magazine backward and the dart in the barrel out. Then to reload you simple tilt the gun forward again and repeat.

1. I would just be concerned about the air waste. However, that is undoubtedly lessened by the restrictive nature of the tubing. What size is it? I'm actually pretty intrigued by the low-tech nature of this... Also: it's in Homemades. Is that a homemade valve?

rork: The valve is from a Supermaxx 1500, but all of the other workings are homemade. The tubing is 1/4, I believe.

Vacc: The 20 shots is at 80 feet, it gets a total of 40-50 but they progressively get less range.
