Without question the AR-15 and the stock Longshot are the best combo that I've ever tried.

I used a BBB and a First Gen. FF spring.
Gets around 55'-60'
Not bad considering I haven't done a new breech.
EDIT: heretic, how much of the AR-15 did you use?

4 3/4" worth of it, just like CaptainSlug recommends.

I've been using an LS/BBB combo in mine, but my internals are first gen, meaning they're heavier plastic than current gen LS's.

I have the LS/BBB combo in my Angel Breeched Longshot. However i have reinforced the boltsled and i do not use it often. I was more into seeing if i could complete an Angel Breech and just how far it would shoot. Using the LS/BBB combo with the Angel Breech has gotten me ranges between 105' to 120' at an angle close to 10 degrees. I basically picked a target at level height (my mailbox) and barely lifted the nose of the gun at all, but using a protractor I could see that I lifted it around 10 degrees. I got my Longshot around Christmas last year and the barrel does not protrude past the end of the orange piece on the front.

Well, if you are just going to CPVC it anything more than a nitefinder spring is a little overkill.

You know, a simple "I use the LS+BBB combo" would've sufficed.

Xbox 180: I am glad you posted a topic about this. I don't have any info to contribute yet, but can't wait to see what your results show.

From what I heard, if you don't want to bother with reinforcing everything in your gone, you should not do BBB/LS combo. Do the AR-15 instead, at the 4 3/4" that everyone says. This requires little, if any, reinforcing with a great leap in range. Don't even bother with FF springs, save those for guns whose plunger tubes are too small for other springs, such as the TTG.

I'm going to say the AR15 spring, as a BBB+LS combo is what broke my first Longshot.
