My friend FERD'S Crossbow head was breaking off constantly and we have tried 4 differents heads and all of them failed except for this one.

I made this head using a 1 1/4 x 48 wooden dowel and cutting it down. Then I drilled a hole through the middle of the wood.I then drilled a hole through the middle of the pluger shaft. After that I used a srew, it doesnt matter what size. Then srewed it through both of the holes. After that we used liquid epoxy to hold in the screw. Then lube the head and cover the bottom in E tape, and there you go.A working crossbow head if yours is ever to fall off.

Very nice work. How are the ranges? I've done tons of work on the xbow plunger head and the biggest difficulty is the inward slant the plunger tube has, so a simple replacement didn't work for me. If it holds up well, I might do something like this when/if my solution fails.

Check it out! This was actually my second xbow repair.

EDIT: Wait- is that picture seriously the end result? Did you even put a wrap of etape or an O-ring on the plunger head to seal against the plunger tube?

I would put some foam on it, but it looks good.

The ranges are pretty good ther like 80 feet flat back loaded with a stefan. And yes that picture is the end reslut we didnt put any etape around it or an O-ring.

Wow, I am shocked. Are you using bungies? That's amazing if you aren't.

Nope, no bungies at all, Just a defender spring. And the reason i did not put any e tape or a o-ring is because the wood, with a bit of sanding fit very nicely. Top it all off with some lube and you have a beast
