I was watching the news a day ago and saw hurricane Ike hit Texas. This is a follow up on talio's Katrina thread by the way. I was just wondering whether all you Texas nerfers were all right. Ike was only a cat 3 but it looked pretty awful anyways. If any of you were hit by the hurricane I hope you are all right. Does anyone know of any nerfer's in Galveston. Please reply.Okay, this is driving me nuts. As everyone knows, a catagory 5 karma cloud headed straight for New Orleans just before it said, "You've just been punked" and fucked up Mississippi instead. Because I tend to be a bit of a woman when it comes to worrying, I just wanted to find out who we know who lives in the south and if we can get hold of them. You all know I normally don't make topics like this (or any for that matter), but a good solid role call will not hurt. Talio.

I live in Victoria, which is where Ike was supposed to diddle and pillage. Luckily he decided my little town wasn't so special and turned away leaving us with just a wee bit of rain. I think I'll make it, thanks for the concern!

I live right in between Dallas and Fort Worth, and I never got much of anything.
I was out playing (and later tearing down) sporting clays, and it rained on us, but nothing much.
I actually just got finished de-rusting my shotgun's forcing cones.

Well since this is active, I live in Houston but sort of near Galveston, the storm hit at night which added to the wierd affect, we didn't have power for about 2 1/2 weeks, and to give you an idea of how close to a direct hit we were. The eye past right over us.. It was so amazazaing watching the huge hole float right over us.
Im good though. :-]

Lost power for 5 days. Almost had a 9 days of school off. Only had six...oh well.
I got to go over to my friends place and then I got power and we played Rock Band 2.
Yeah. 2.5 days with/without power AND no school!
