Hey, Tornado here, just wondering if anyone would come to a Kansas Nerf War. I have two great locations, one is indoor one is outdoor. I will try to post pictures later. Like in the Season Of Foam thread noted it would be cool if you guys could drop-in. That means we would have to organize the date around the time that you would be here. Just wondering if anyone would come. If you vote in the poll please post a reply so I could add you to the list. If you want to see the pictures for the places first wait to vote so then I can see where you guys want to hold it.

Thanks ~Tornado

EDIT: As it says in the post above, please post if you can come or if your a maybe!!!

Rogue Warrior and I were just talking about this. A nerf war in Kansas would be awesome! I know Aamiller, Rogue, and myself all live in Kansas. I was searching parks in the Kansas City area, and I found a couple. I saw Swope Park, which looks like it has some areas that look pretty good. It has some open areas and some places with trees. Can you please tell me of the indoor location you were talking about?

Sorry, forgot to mention I live in Topeka and that's where I was planning on hosting it, but if Kansas City works ok with everyone else the ill move it to Kansas City. I was thinking the old Menninger building for the indoor war site. My dad kind of owned it.

Thanks ~Tornado

I searched "Topeka Menninger Building" and all I found was some old house, and a clock tower. Is this the place?

If we have an indoor war, which would be sick, we would have to have STRICT restrictions on guns. Like no singled air guns. PERIOD. Guns like the Hornet or RF20 would be good though. And we would have to test all of the guns people bring.

I still like an outdoor war, more space and more variables. When would we be having this?

It would be next summer, but it takes a while to get the locations I have in mind. I was also thinking if we organize it around a certain time maybe the Season Of Foam people could stop in.

I think it would be awesome for SOF to stop by. I would love to meet Bags and the rest of the guys. And they could also teach us a lot of stuff. Because I know I barely know anything compared to those guys. I think next summer would be okay, because it would give me and other people time to get some guns modded and ready to go. I would prefer to be outside, so I could use my singled LBB. But an indoor war would be cool. I would have to find a magstrike though.

Sounds good, I think I would like to go with the outdoor because I don't know if I can get the Clock Tower for sure. I will try to get pictures up next weekend.

What we could do, is have it at the clock tower, like you said, but have some rounds inside and some outside. But that may be a problem to some people because they would have to probably have multiple guns. And I know I'm not going to have enough money for a whole bunch of guns.

I saw some pictures of outside the clock tower, and it looks like a very good location. It looks very open.

Ok, Rogue Warrior and I have been discussing this in PM's. He said that inside wouldnt be fun, because so many guns would have to be banned, that most people won't show up. Also, if we do have it indoors, it would be more like airsoft than Nerf. I agree, and we have agreed that it would be best if we just had it outdoors.

Ok, we could either do it outside the clock tower which I think would be great, or I have a park called Gage Park and it has all these cool obstacles/things that it would be tottaly awesome.

Bogs, I'm lucky that I will be going to this one. My parents would never let me go out of state for Nerf stuff. My dad thinks it's a waste of time. But I don't. So I will not be able to make it to AR.

Tornado, I think its set then.

Alright sounds good, I can't get up pictures this work week because I have soccer practice, Ill try to get my parents to take me to the places to take pictures this weekend.

Bogs, you have a long time in advance to either convince your parents or take the time off and save up the gas money.

Or, you know, you guys and bog can meet in the middle at around, say, Springfield MO and then I'll be able to join too. As of yet I don't know how for out I'll be able to drive. There's only, like, 6 of us here in Missouri. We're a lonely bunch.

Edit: Kansas City would also be good, but it looks like everyone's settled on Topeka. If that's the case, then I may or may not join. Sorry for bursting in like this.

I think we have settled on Topeka, there's no changing it now.
I think we may have just the right amount of people that said yes on the poll. About 10 is all we need or else it will be a clusterfuck.

Bog, I understand ya man, I'm the only one in southern Kansas.

Mxer is right, if we get to many people it will be too hard to organize. Those polls are probably without the SOF people, if they can come.

Edit: Forgot, there is ammiler123 in Holton?

You can call me Tyler. And I have seen wars with a lot of people (APOC 7) and it doesnt look like everyone can play at one time.
