I was at a war this summer and we were having a pistol round, and one of the guys pulled out a pretty big shield, and he still got out before me. So if you can reject more than three darts with a crossfire shield, more power to you. But in my opinion, its a lot easier to dodge a dart, than to block it.

You, sir, merely lack sweet ninja skills.

Umm. wouldn't dodging a dart mean he does have sweet ninja skills?
Anyway, a crossfire shield is only small so I doubt you could effectively block darts, especially if you strap it to your arm like designed.

Echna, I'd think it would be cool to have these shields. It would be an interesting game if no one started being cheap.

Just because he can't dodge doesn't mean hes a ninja, it just means hes not Evil...

Um, those three posts were about how he prefers dodging over blocking. How did you get "Can't dodge" out of that?
I disagree with the claim that a dart cannot be blocked from less than 80' away. Now, I've never used a shield, so I can't really say this is out of experience, but I think 50' sounds like a reasonable range where one could block a dart. It depends more on what gun you are trying to block. Yeah, "that guy" got out a lot, but he was going against an ERTL pump shotgun and Crossbow.
More important than practicality is legality. The shield was allowed at the war Renegademilitia15 and I are talking about because the guy using the shield was the one who started the war. In most wars, shields aren't allowed, with the exception of the mantaray.
