i was just wondering why nol lost a lot of stuff when hal brought it back?

because hal is too lazy/busy to do any work in bringing it back. some lameass named larry chen helped him put up some content that isn't his, and that's about all they did. too lazy/busy to bring back forums or new content, although it doesn't really matter. the only forums you'll ever need are here, nerfevolved's forum has shown us all that new boards aren't neccesary or ever that popular. all the content you'll ever need is either here or on nerf evolved.

Much of that content (the forums and videos) hasn't been online in a very long time. He did a look-n-feel revamp so that he could include the site on Bald Rocket's portfolio page. Basically, he's trying to drum up some business for his web design consulting. As a side benefit, he also cleaned up his amazon links.

I find it a bit frustrating that some of you still haven't gotten it through your heads that the intent of Nerf Evolved was not to create a popular system of forums, but rather to create a site where anyone could easily submit their own content through a simplistic, online medium.

i find it a bit frustrating that if you look at my post, you'll see that i actually commended you for your content. i.e. " all the content you'll ever need is either here or on nerf evolved. "

if you're site doesn't choose to focus on it's forums, then you won't mind my saying that, whether or not they are the purpose of the site, your forums are for the most part dead. don't take so much offense, i gave you a thumbs up on the part of your site that you care about; you shouldn't mind if i use the part of the site you don't really care about as a perfect example of why new forums don't do well. your post itself proved this point, you knew that fact before you guys made the site, and chose to set out to create a website that was content oriented, not forum oriented. you did a good job with that, but obviously you don't think so because you're so damn touchy about what people say.

Your statement was worded in such a way that would imply that our original intent was to create a new forum for the NIC. I don't care what you say about Nerf Evolved, whether you like it or hate it, but the only thing I'm going to focus my attention on are misconceptions. It's a fact that we've got some of the most content out there for Nerf, so why should I bother to argue that with you?
