Since I'm a big time PC gamer I figured it was about time that a thread like this was created. It's always cool to see what games everyone else is playing and enjoying these days. Feel free to ask other members about their call-signs or nicknames in this thread. Most of the time mine's Ta10n, so don't be a stranger. Simply post a list of your top ten PC games (open to Windows, Linux, and OSX) with a few rules of course.

Rule 1:

No console ports. Some games are meant to be played on a console and I'm totally cool with that. There are good ports and bad ports, but lets just keep it simple. Games that are either PC exclusive or had an essentially simultaneous console and PC launch (lets say approximately within 3 months of each other).

Rule 2:

A series of titles counts as one game. So if you're a Half-Life fan like I am we'll say for the sake of argument that the entire Half-Life series was one game. Which it basically was. One game released in many, many parts.

That's all for the rules, now lets get the first list up. MINE!

1. Deus Ex (only 1)
2. Half-Life (1,2, all the episodes, Lost Coast, Blue shift, and Opposing force)
3. Portal
4. Crysis
5. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernoybl (with Oblivion Lost 2.2 and Arsenal mods preferably)
6. Sins of a Solar Empire
7. Company of Heroes (original and Opposing Fronts)
8. The Elder Scrolls (3 and 4)
9. Rollercoaster Tycoon (1 and 2)
10. Battlefield (2 and 2142)

Follow this layout and the rules. That will be all.

Diablo 2

How old school are those first two? Damn.

Are you fucking kidding me? Do we really need 'Your Top 10 PC Games' AND 'Greatest Game That You Have Ever Played In Your Life' AND 'World Of Warcraft'?

It's neat to see that a ton of people are into older games, while still enjoying more recent titles. It's also nice to see that everyone took the hint and didn't put Halo in here. Thank goodness. I may have exploded into a million tiny pieces if they did. Which wouldn't be good for my health. DON'T LET THE SPARTANS FIND ME!

Mr. BadWrench:

I remember playing the Mechcommander 2 demo ages ago and loving it. Unfortunately the game was also about 5 years old at the time, so I couldn't run out and get a copy :(

I find your addiction to MMO's disturbing <_< . But I'll admit that I was bitten by the bug at one point, trying out trials for various MMO's. What I realized is that you need to have a big group of friends online with you or the games are a lot more boring. I also realized after a while that I would regret wasting (for me at least) my summer when I should be doing more constructive things. So basically I modded my Longshot and rebuilt my computer like 3 times :)

Ah, good old frets on fire. If it wasn't so damn buggy I would play it more often. Frets is what convinced me to go out and buy Guitar Hero (after I got addicted and it was becoming painful to use my G15 as a guitar)

High five for Gary's Mod! I remember I must have spent like 10 hours building a giant shotgun that used explosive barrels as propellant and bowling balls for ammo. Add in a rocket-assisted breech and you're good to go!

Hopefully more people will find this thread and throw up their games!

My games go back to when 95 was first premiering, and in order to get 256 colors, upgrade your graphics card. I also got some more recent games.

+C&C red alert
+Doom (1&2) I still have these. I downloaded them from a website.
+Age of Empires
+Roller Coaster Tycoon
+Civilization II
Thats all I can really think of. I've never really played many PC games, I'm more partial to the console side of things.
