Second hand stores are sweet for Nerf, I always make sure I have stock darts on me when I go to one. A large amount of my Nerf has come from places like that.

A different garage sale had a Longshot with no front gun, one clip and one usable streamline dart (It came with five darts but they were mangled and jammed in various places inside the gun; only one could be saved) - $2.00
Mech Tommy 20 at a local aftermarket toy store, one dart - $3.00

A few days ago, went to Goodwill for the first time gun-hunting.
Got a SuperMaxx 1500 for $2.00.
Got a leaky Wildfire with a broken pump for $3.00.
Awesome deal on the SM1.5k, but a bit annoyed at the Wildfire.
Thought I had an old RF20 when I grabbed it (and actually for the first couple days until I saw a write up...)
You can bet I'll be back to Goodwill. Hopefully I'll come home with an X-bow next time.
... to be able to get a better burst or sustained fire, rather than blowing the whole load at once.

SM3K $1.98
Nite Finder $.69
Some off brand thing like a SSPB, says "sonic" 3 times in a circle $.39
I've had the best luck at garage sales, though.
Magstrike $.50
x2 DTG's $.50 each
CF $.50
Firefly (with batteries!) $1
DTG $1
x2 CF's $1 each
Reactor $.50
BBB purple $10
pipe cutter tool $.50
big hacksaw $1
I could have grabbed a Pulsator and a Buzzsaw when I found the magstirke, I guess I should have. I'm sure someone out there likes balls

Oh, yardsales last weekend... I ended up with a maverick for 25 cents and a reactor with some balls for 25 cents. I mainly wanted the balls... That sort of seems like it could be added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole...

Think yourself lucky. Here in the UK the cheapest you can pick up an LS is £60-70+ ($98-114+). Im currently buying an LSFG for $50. Around $45 of that is shipping from the states though...I paid $52.99 for a longshot at a local toy store. Over priced dicks!

Don't do it!! LSFGs are totally useless.

I'm gutting it and attempting to make an underslung grenade launcher with it.
There is no way that you will not regret paying $50 for an LSFG. It would be cheaper to make a shell from scratch.
(or just not do it)
