I am going to start a homemade soon and I would like to know what kind of gun you would like to see me make. If you have any other suggestions for a gun please tell me. I know some of you dont like realistic guns but Im making guns to use at night at a church. My friends like them too .

Those are not going to replace the M16's...come on. Have some knowledge. The new test is the SCAR which can operate with AK47 mags commonly found, M16 mags, and SIG mags. I don't know too much about the rifle but my friend does because he has a 400 dollar airsoft replica. XM8's just plain suck ass

I have designed how to make a P90 with flywheels and clip that uses a conveyor belt. I diddnt put it on the vote because I have already started it.

CS- I have already made a snap ALONG time ago. I used the green PVC that comes from the ETRL Target Set. I got the target from the goodwill for $2. I liked all of Boltsnipers realistic guns, but what happened to him? He hasent been active in forever. So Im going to make realistic guns now.

The SNAPbow is a whole different animal. Trust me on this. And as for realistic guns: the bottom line is, you're chasing the wrong line of thought. Boltsniper's SCAR is amazing, but it's also roughly 10 times more complex than it needs to be to achieve the same degree of performance, because he set out to make something that looked a LOT like an AR. Plus, remember that Boltsniper was only able to do it because his fabrication chops are beyond top-tier, and he was an engineering student with access to a rapid prototyper at the time. I seriously doubt that a guy whose recent accomplishments are represented by a pvc howitzer that shoots napkins is going to replicate his success. You can always keep a given rifle design in mind while you design your homemade, but trying to create a working nerf replica is going to be a long, panful, expensive and above all disappointing learning process. ~Rork

I think the better question is "what kind of rifle would YOU want made into a nerf rifle?". Hell, if I wanna see a M1 grand, AK47, or AR15 nerf rifle, I'll do the work myself. It should be whatever you want, don't let us run your projects.

After handling an AK, I would say that. Its so gosh darn sexy and whatnot. So is the SCAR and the HK416 (ghetto M4A1 that is SO SO SO much better).

I would try those, but your gun, do what you want. Or you could make a fantasy gun that just looks sweet.

I wanted to vote for "make something that shoots where you point it and as far as you need it to, rather than something I saw in Call of Duty 4," but you didn't make that option. Fuck, when will people realize that cosmetic mods and shit like that is useless. Make something that you can beat the shit out of and will still fire. Go to a war and see how rough you are on the guns. The reason I don't have a doomsayer myself is b/c I know I will snap off more than half of the barrels the minute I get pissed off.

Or, you could make a SNAPbow and build it a custom shell so that this doesn't become as overly complicated as you are imaging.

I'd say an AR-15. They are so versatile, and they look awesome. But really, just make a homemade that suits your nerfin' style.

Well I may sound like a noob right now but I like realistic guns. I am starting 3 of these guns right now. I can assure you they will be able to take a beating. And as of a spring automatic, I have thought of it and I think I may give it a try. I have alot of time on my hands, and my dads work pretty much has any tool I would ever need to make something. And a Helicopter? A nerf gun can barely reach 200ft, how do you think 2000ft in the air trying to shoot a vulcan. You might as well drop darts on people. Also a 1911 is a pistol. I accidentally put rifle in the title instead of gun. How do I edit titles? I cant find any way. Oh yeah Lynx I dont appreciate your sig, I have tried to correct it but I dont know how. And how was Rough Warriors question stupid?

This shit doesn't belong in Homemades. There are no homemade guns in this thread. If this was in General Nerf or some other sub-forum, I wouldn't post, but Homemades is my haven within the Haven, and I would appreciate it if some effort was made to keep the level of quality that we see from posters like Captain Slug, Carbon, Doom, and the like. Ompa too, if he's still around.

Im working on a CO2 P90, single fire right now should be auto in 2 weeks. Range flat is equal to Angel's Titan angled at 50%, trying to make a magazine that doesn't detonate when loaded.
