All right, here it is:
1.Get a dtg, get an atom blaster
2. Drill out as much of the outside of the turret (in between the barrels at the front) as possible, so you have about 2 inches inside the turret
3. do a total minimization of the atom blaster
4. stick it in there.
5. have a dtg with a sidearm built in
It's like a grenade launcher in front of an assault rifle, like peanut butter and jelly
Would this work?

I have an even better idea.

1. Stop posting about things you haven't done yet
2. Stop assigning adjectives to things you have not yet done
3. Your idea actually sucks since you didn't post anything about how the hell you're going to link a trigger to the atom blaster, which would be embedding into an object that's rotating off of the DTB trigger mechanism.

"Would this work" threads have no place in this section.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

What exactly is the point of the atom blaster? To throw your opponents into fits of laughter?

Hmmm...not just a concept thread, but a concept thread that, were it followed through to its conclusion, would result in a retarded blaster. And I do mean retarded; your mod would actually HINDER the performance of the DTB. Although, it would be way less annoying to post a retarded mod than to waste everyone's time and cx's bandwidth with this bollocks.

On a more positive note: I think that the atom blaster serves an important function, in that, if someone gets taken out with one, they have been humiliated indeed. I can actually throw a nerf ball further and more accurately. ~Rork

I see what you are trying to do but the I dea would render your "Assault" rifle useless because it would need to be singled out or heavily modified. Alongside this who has a bit the size of a reactor (CaptainSlug, you don't count) it just seems highly unpractical in my own opinion. If you were to make this work EXACTLY
how you have the directions made I would applaud you but this idea is almost insane on simplisity right now.
One would think that someone could just take off the front handle and mount it there just for the same effect without making the Dart Tag Blaster a one-shot weapon.

Agreed. Try a Nitefinder or Maverick or something. A Mav integration would be cool, 2 revolving turrets..

I've actually been wanting an atom blaster for a while now solely for that purpose. I wouldn't even try to modify it, just slip it in my pocket and wait for the perfect moment to spring it on someone. If I actually get a kill with it, I'd never let the person live it down.

Oh my gosh. This is like the 5th idea post this week. Don't you guys ever read the responses these guys get? We HATE IDEA POSTS!!! If that isn't a big enough message how about this one.
TRY DOING IT YOURSELF!!!!!!!!
WITHOUT TELLING US FIRST!

I look back at really old threads and I wish I was a member then. There were a lot less people who were hated, and it made this forum really homy. In a good way.

[/end rant]

On topic, Is it possible? Yes. Is it as conventional as something a person has tried, done, and had alot better results than you will ever get? No.

Here is a idea. Try it out yourself. Concept threads only lead to flames, not mods. If it's good, then post a write up, if not forget about the idea. But DO NOT concept threads. They will only get you flamed.

Edit:

It's like a grenade launcher in front of an assault rifle

The gun you are talking about is the M4 Masterkey

Edit: Rouge warrior you are kind of right, but read this now

TheNerfLoki
I beleive, correct me if I'm wrong, But doesn't the M4 Masterkey have a .12g Shotgun? A grenade launcher is what Noob Modder is trying to make. I think that this idea would be intresting to see put into action, but in my thoughts only homemades need concept threads because of the fact that YOU make them.

Okay, screw that idea.
But seriously guys, calm yourselves down.
It's okay if it won't work, if it has no place in this forum; how was I supposed to know?

And, some of you might remember getting equally pissed at me about saying my birthday was in 1909:

Noob Modder and generally anyone else who thinks they have a great idea they want to post, concept threads are generally extremely erotic here at NH. If think you have a good idea, think it over. If you still haven't found anything wrong with it by that time you can ask an experienced and friendly modder via PM or e-mail, for example, I ask CS a crapload of questions regularly, he doesn't mind that much, and he always gives good feedback. If you still think you're idea is plausible after that, then try it. If your idea works then post it, with pictures, simple enough.

You're looking to get yourself banned with that kind of attitude. Pay attention to what we tell you and if you give us shit for it, you'll get banned off here very quick. It happens more than you'd think. Also, just because its not in the code of conduct, doesn't mean it doesn't piss us all off. Thats like shitting on the hood of someones car... The cops never said you couldn't (Because you never asked) but that doesn't mean it doesn't piss us all off. Look out in the future or you'll get the mighty boot of the administration up your ass.... And trust me.... You don't want that.

The code of conduct is a guide to help you make a smooth transition into NerfHaven. It does not contain everything you should or should not do. We do our best to issue warnings and advice regarding the proper behavior when a possible problem arises.

This is not a pay site. You do not own a subscription. We have no obligation to your sense of equity. If you do not wish to heed our warnings, we are not entirely opposed to removing you.

I hope that clears things up.
