I'm just gonna stay home and watch the Tv guide channel (since there isn't any big countdown on tv for Arizona) until it strikes midnight. After that, i'm gonna lite up the sky with some bottlerokets. Anyone else have anything exciting lined up?

I'm just staying home, drinking Coca Cola. I'm probably gonna be on the internet all night, so feel free to Instant Message me and the old screenname, Jcedwrds8, or MSN me at Jacobedwards11@hotmail.com.

Well, my mom's boy friend is having a party. I'm going to be there. Fun? Hell no. Most of the patrons are either in or past their 50s, and the rest aren't interesting enough to make up for it. There's gonna be a countdown, and then people are going to dance. I need to make signs that state "We are not responsible for broken hips, lost canes, or liver failures." In fact I should get to that pretty soon. People are drinking so much I think a majority of them will be dead or in the hospital within 48 hours. That's my post. Fun huh? Anyone else doing anything more exciting?

Heh, I read your e-mail again, and I wonder, didn't you say there was an extremely hot girl there? Maybe she didn't show... but hey, wouldn't have been that bad then.

I went bowling tonight, although, we didn't do much "bowling" if you know what I mean. Yes, I did mean we played more air hockey and billiards, you suck fucks. Oh, we did that too... yeah, playing Area 51 is always the best way to end a night of bowling.

After bowling, I went to my friend Rachel's house, and guess what, like every other party, we played truth or dare. Great, huh? Well, it wasn't that bad... we came up with some funny dares. I ended up kissing everyone at the party... discluding the guys. But, one dare was for me to lick Kyle's ear... WOW. Big fscking dare, wasn't it? No.

After that, we went to the family room... leather couches... haugh. We watched the countdown, and then we had to kiss our girlfriends, and for the girls, kiss their boyfriends, although, I made some girl on girl happen. Yep. Drank alot, ate alot.

You know the drill.

That was my New Year's Eve/Day. Happy New Year everyone, I hope you get home safe, and didn't tank yourself to the point where pissing in your hat seems like first nature to you.

I just met up with some friends and played darts for a while. Then we went out and climbed on top of a school roof, dropped giant snowballs off it, lit off some bottle rockets, caused mischief, and got back in time for the countdown.

I went to some lame friend-of-the-family-party type deal. You know, the parents get drunk, the kids play video games, the usual. The only other kid my age played FF XI all night, the rest were consumed with DDR. There was a strat, a Les Paul, and an acoustic/electric there with two amps so I was a happy camper for a while. Countdown, no fireworks, hoardes of children with those blowy noise maker things. Lots of food, lots of boose, I would have been much happier if I was drunk. The parents did karaoke, it was pretty unsettling. Went to bed at three, woke up around noon.

my friends and i had a pretty good new years this year. we did our usual rounds annoying the people camping out on the Rose Parade route. watched some aqua teen hunger force and some of "Don't Be a Menace in South Central While Drinking Juice in the Hood". we also hit up a party or two, lit some fireworks. more illegal stuff than i'm used to for one night. i figured since it's illegal for me to drink or drive; i'd pick the lesser of the two and drive all of my friend's car with a bunch of drunkards back from a party. risking getting my license pulled 'till i'm 18 is a hell of a lot safer than being in a car with a drunk driver, especially since i'm a good driver anyway.

at 12, we looked all over the place for cops, saw none, so my friend lit a string of blackcats in the street and 5 seconds later two cops come out of some bushes and started talking to him. we walked away and threw the blackcats under a car, while the police checked to see if he was drunk. we got of scot-free, but it was funny.

Invited myself to a friend's New Years thing, rescued them from incessant boredom via sledding, surfed down a hill on a crazy carpet, hit up the local 7-11, kicked some ass at Bullshit, and watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Oh, and our car got shot at with Roman Candles. Silly kids.

We need something explosive next year.

I wish I could have involved fireworks like some of you folks... I brought mine, but never got around to lighting them off. Fire makes everything more enjoyable. ;)

I went to my friend's place with a bunch of other people and we played 8 player Mario Kart Double Dash and Balderdash (Dash... Dash, weird.) Then me and a couple other guys continued our heated game of Lord of the Rings Risk, Trilogy Edition. That game is awesome, though it can get pretty tense at times. I ended my night at a different apartment where everyone was passed out drunk. My friend Matt from San Diego was there though, so him and I jammed on a couple of guitars and sang some songs for old time's sake. Twas enjoyable, though I shall restate that it would have been better if there were explosions.

well, we hold a big party down at my beach house [one acre block] and usually theres tons and yuo end up with like 25-30 people and people in tents and yeah well, yuo get the idea...

dissapointed, this year, only 15 people, that sucks, but we had a couple of people dancing like idiots and thats always good. umm we have this tradition, its called "tin-kettling" and it originated from the chinese and they would make a metric shit-ton of noise to bring in the new year and warn off evil spirits, so basically... it hits twelve and we do the countdown on tv or radio and then we arm ourselfs with kettles and pots and pans we got from opshops and walk down to the lookout banging the living daylights out of them and watching everyone launch there illegal fireworks

My parents had a party at our house and all my parents friends were my brothers friends parents (little confusing). Well I just played video games with my brothers friends and I got an eagle eye from one of them ;). Then everyone played taboo. It was pretty fun.

Make out with girlfriend? My wife would get upset, no thanks!

At midnight I paused my game, she paused hers, we kissed, then resumed playing.

It doesn't mean you're ugly, but it's still a nerd's hobby nonetheless. Even if you're model caliber with chicks all over you, the NIC as a whole is mostly geeks without much of a social life, and you're probably the exception to this generalization. If everyone here had an active social life, they wouldn't be bored in their free time, justifying the time spent on nerf/starting nerf. Now, nerf-nerds generally aren't as bad as computer game nerds, because we're outside and running around in our free time; but we're pretty nerdy nonetheless.

Yeah, you're right. I am pretty nerdy in the way that I take this forum so seriously. And like you said, at least we don't waste away infront of our computers... I hope I speak for most when I say that. We do get out, and have a good time. I'm sure I'm no exception to anything, although I do have an active social life. This forum just let's me share my ideas. I am a guy who was deemed gifted by the school board, but never beleived it for myself. I took to a social life, rather than by consumed by school and books. I balance this, and being a Nerf nerd is cool, because we are the smartest of them all. As long as I'm semi-accepted here, I can enjoy being a nerd, because you guys are really cool underneath it all.
