I'm modding an Air tech 3000 for a fellow clan member but there is a problem with his pump. It takes several pumps for it to pressurize any air. It may be a dead O-Ring on the pump but I would like to check with you guys first. Thank You.

If its not a bad O-ring, then maybe plugging the pump will fix it. But check for the O-ring first.

After you finally do get it to pressurize some air, does it slowly lose pressure?
Probably dead by now, or something.

Its most probably a shitty check valve, which is in the pump.
Just try replacing the pump from another gun, or buy a bike one, but thats harder
