Well what can I say, I have no clue why it shoots the way it does. I don't need anyones approval or belief, but it would be nice. I have no reason to lie about range but i'm happy with what it is.

Is it possible the increased ranges are caused by a combination of over pressurizing the remaining chamber and the better flow rate of the shotgun button valve (provided the shotgun button uses its own valve)? It seems that a valve with anything like six times the flow rate of the stock rig would put a nice high pop on the dart.

I've never modded a hornet so i could be way off.

The hornet uses a backpressure valve to seal the blast chamber, the air through the valve has nothing to do with the outgoing pressure against the dart. It just lets the pressure off the chamber seal so that the blast chamber opens and shoots the dart.

So make a video of you firing this thing "flat" along a tape measure. Any basic digital camera will have a video function.

Okay, I use a mac and my parents are at work, so I can't find there camera. When they get back i'll use it, or i'll figure out how to use video on my mac.

No Tiny Tim, he is not gathering the flow of six blast chambers into one. He removed the other five blast chambers so that he is only pressurizing one chamber (remember when he said he cut the tubing and plugged five of them?).

I will just state now that I am skeptical of the performance, but I'm not saying it's impossible, especially if using the shotgun blast button and not the standard trigger. I will also say, however, that I think you're angling your shots, even if you think your shots are level, they're probably not. They may possibley be but, your ranges are a bit extreme. And no, 45' with a LEVEL shot is not at all normal for a stock hornet, or they would be one of the best stock blasters ever made. So are your shots level or angled?

Also, even if you have "mutant" hornet, the variation in hornets usually decreases after being modded. Yes, stock hornets vary quite a bit, some sucking completely and some being decent, but when modded, they all perform fairly similarly.

Wait then Im confused. Why then use only 1 barrel? If you use the shotgun blast rather then the shots going from 1 tank to 6 barrels it should be going to 1? Therefore instead of 1/6 of the airtank being devoted to the barrel it now gets all of it, and 6 times the air correct?

I'm not going to quote that, just because you get the picture. You're correct and incorrect. The other barrels were COMPLETELY cut off, not moved to one barrel. They were destroyed, and they're never coming back. The reason I singled it was for one reason, every other shot would be crappy, and all shots were inconsistant.
