well i just making some stefans and im thinking "this is a crapload of darts"

so just throwing it out there how many have you guys made at one go?

If you need 400 stefans for one war or you can make that many in one sitting without taking the hot glue gun to your eye, you're doing something wrong.

50 is the most before I get bored. I do it a couple times a week. I make about 150 a week. Then I usually just mooch off other people, and use their darts.

k9turrent: if that was your intent with the thread, then you should have simply asked the question in the first post. For an individual nerfer you usually won't need any more than 100 darts per nerfer. Unless of course you're using an automatic a lot, are too lazy to do dart sweeps, or the rounds are very long.

Most I've ever made at a time was 400. I've never needed more than 100-200 for a war (no matter how large).

In one sitting? Probably around 650, something like that. Once I get into Stefan-making Mode, I can sit there like a robot and just lose track of time. There have been times where I spent a whole day just making darts.

If you're using a single-shot gun and a pistol, you will probably need no more than 300 for two people, just don't go trigger happy. If you're using an automatic, bring at least 100 more, as you WILL burn through darts like nothing.

On topic: The most I've done in one sitting is around 100. But that was because I had a little war with family the next day.

On topic, I made 1200, YES 1200 in one sitting for last year's APOC. I had many buyers. I win.

I do about 125 per sitting, mainly because my block holds 125 and after that I have to get up and let the things cure a bit before I chuck them in storage.

I honestly have to have nothing around me to make more than 50-70 Due to ADHD(I've had it Since I Was 10)
But I've only made them when I need them That Day. So The most I've had to make was about 200 for a War I host In Portland(PNO/PNW).

About a 150. One of my friends slept over one night, and he said he was going to make some stefs, I said that I was going to bed. Next morning I wake up, and he's watching tv, and he had been up all night makeing stefs. We counted them and he had gotten 10,000...........Thats alota darts...Good quality too.

Thats funny, Last year I had help from Weenaak, Cardiac-kid, Crooked who probably helped me the most and I think Sluggy helped out too for a night. It was a collective of darts made over a week.

To help spread the sport/hobby up here, I am supplying guns and darts to certain people who are not normally into the sport. For this I need to make a ton of darts. We have 30 people coming to the war this year, Sounds like plenty. Next year at Hell everyone is making their own darts.

Well assuming you slept 8 hours. Thats 480 minutes. On average it takes most people one minute or so to make a dart. Especially if they are good quality.

I really doubt it... Did you count or just estimate?

By to way, I can make a decent stefan in 10 seconds, so it is possible if your friend, but how did he not get bored after 8 hours?

It would actually be 2.8 seconds per dart. If you made one dart in 4.8 sec, it would take about 13 hours to make 10,000. There are 60 seconds in a minute, not 100

1,250 feet of fbr for 10,000 1.5" stefans, at about $2 for 20 feet, 10,000 weights at about $1 for 20 weights, and hot glue:

1 stick makes about 200, 10 sticks are about $5, need 500 sticks..

$125 for fbr
$500 for weights
$250 for hot glue

So $936.25 for one endless supply of stefans. Quite a shame really. But tell him thanks for helping the economy.
