So I extracted the Ar and peg from my longshot, put in a recon spring turned my longshot into a carbine. Then I took the spring from my recently modded Vulcan and stretched it, and put in in my longshot. Then the first time I cocked it, it did not catch. Any advice?

The same thing happened to me when i put too many springs in mine. The springs probably compress to large so the bar that gets caught does not go out 100%

It's just the catch spring. How else do you expect 15 pounds of force to catch and stay catched? Just replace the catch spring with something stronger and problem fixed. Although the bolt sled might break so I would recomend reinforcing it with something

I had this problem at one point. Reduce the power enough so you can somewhat easily cock it. Otherwise the plastic catch will break after a short while.

I had this problem when I put 1.7 NF springs in my LS. It's not the catch mech, the solid length of the springs is more than the amount the rod allows before it can catch. Take the spring with the most coils in it out. And add a stronger catch spring.
