O.K, I have searched specifically for streamline darts. Nothing came up for my problem (At least not recently).
I just bought my Recon and a few clips for it yesterday ( I bought it for rush insurance, as I use two heavily modded nitefinders, and the two make up for their weaknesses, like range and rate of fire, so don't kill me for that.) and the streamline darts are flying all over the place. I aim it straight, it goes right or tailspins. Is there something that I can do to fix this problem? I have no access to foam supplies and no skill whatsoever , so it would be hard for me to make stefans. Is there some way I could mod the dart itself?

I believe it is the hole in the tip that makes it inaccurate. I think some people cut the tips off, but I would cover the hole with a tiny dot of hot glue, so little you won't notice it from the outside.

Generally, people fill the inside of the head with hot glue or just plug the little hole on the side of the head.

I never did that as I thought that the little hot glue at the tip would off balance it, but I think I'm not understanding right. I think your best bet is to cut off the hollow dome.

I tried plugging the hole, but it didn't really do anything. If I cut the dome off, where would I cut it? Right down to the foam? Or just in half or something?

..Or is this just a really stupid question?

It's not really a stupid question...but I'm sure you could have found your answer by searching. Anyways, You don't cut down to the foam. The tip is made of a hollow dome of plastic, just cut that off.

I just cut it off, and all it did was shorten the distance that it flew..

I'm terribly sorry that the idiots got to you first and told you to cut the tips off your darts, Mehku.

Half of the problem with streamline darts in my experience is their weight. They do not have enough weight in the tip to help them fly straight with more powerful guns. Cutting the tips off the darts will, of course, make this problem worse.

What I do is take two copper BB's, and shove them into that little hole in the tip of the dart. It gives the darts the extra weight it needs, and those BB's do NOT (contrary to what some paranoid people may say) come out of the dart when you fire it. It takes quite alot of force to shove the BB's into that little hole, but it solves the problem permanently and efficiently.

Another solution is to cut the tip off entirely and replace it with hot glue and BB's, essentially turning it into a stefan, but the other solution is much easier and cheaper.

Good thing I only cut 1 dart. I'll have to try that, thanks!

Considering that I nerf ONLY with stock darts, and I've had to do this to over 100 streamlines, I'd say it works. ^_^

If you have any trouble, let me know and I'll try to be more clear. Hope this works as well for you as it does for me.

I'm fairly certain you might have done it wrong then. Before I made my stefans, I did that to all my streamlines. Hell I think i even made a topic exactly like this, and just about everyone told me too cut off the tip, and it worked.

I think one guy on here said that he put a small strip of Electrical tape around the tip to cover the hole. So you could also try that.

You only need to trim the hollow dome off of the tip of the dart. This is easily done with scissors.
Adding weights will improve their stability and optimal range.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

This is an interesting thread. I always wondered if there was a way to make streamlines not suck.

Stupid me figured that they need more weight, so i fit 4 metal bb's in there. I think that 1 bb and some hot glue would work decently.
