Everyone, this was my project over the summer. I give Twitch the credit for this mod -

drop-clip mod

Here is a video of the gun, it was painted with Vinyl dye -
RF20 Death Skull mod

This week it is on Ebay

I'm going to show you where I made my cuts to get the key release to work, and still get average ranges between 35 - 45 ft. with the stock barrels. I use red sonic micros.

You will need:

-phillips screwdriver
-hacksaw
-drill
-hot glue gun
-hammer

To do this first you will need to unscew the magazine and drill straight down the middle. You want the hole to be large enough to fit the key release button up to its widest point. I drilled just enough, then used a hammer to get the release all the way in. When you have this then hot glue it on.

Then you saw the turret post at the end of it's base (where the small part connects) I hammered out the air restrictors and super glued them to the turret.

Don't glue the key release directly to the post stub, instead connect both parts of the key release to the magazine, and then put a little hot glue on the post. Quickly connect your magazine to the gun and hold for a couple minutes. When you do this make sure you get the holes matched up so it gets connected right for a good air seal. Push the key release button and take off the magazine. Then, put hot glue around the sides of the post and release so it stays on. Now you should be ready to test it out. Remember to connect the magazine first and THEN push the button to lock it in place.

Why does the video cut every time you switch the magazine?

My little brother was recording it, and didn't get everything.

That looks sweet, I love the paint job.

If I didn't hate my RF20 so much I'd buy that and mod the turrets with PETG.

Nice, clean work on the skull.

It always kind of shocks me when people post these neat things, then turn right around and hock it on Ebay. If I had a RF20 like that, I'd keep it for myself! :K)

I'm highly tempted to do a drop clip mod, but I can't quite bring myself to buy a whole second RF20 just to steal its turret. Having taken this beast apart, how painful do you think it would be to duplicate a turret from scratch using tubing and plexiglas?

It would be hard, but you would have to ask Twitch on that one. The problem is getting the air seal tight enough so you don't lose range. I ruined 3 guns before I finally got this one to work and have good ranges. It is tough to fix a mistake if you drill or cut too much.
