These are mainly for comfort and style. These are the mods.


I hot glued a NF chamber to the back of the recon where the priming bar comes out (it one of the original recons). I then placed a new spring (bought from hardware store, no idea what it is). I then cut down the LS stock and hot glued the shit out of it till it stayed at the back of the recon. I glued the spring that I placed in the NF chamber to the back of the LS stock. To make sure that the power of the spring wouldn't throw the LS stock off the recon, I cut two bars of 1/2 inch cpvc in about 3 inches, and hot glued that to the sides of the LS stock and back of the recon, so it supported the lower part of the stock.

For the barrel, I just used a dremel to neatly cut the front barrel of a longshot and hotglued that to the inside of the recon's barrel. It was mostly for looks, but I found that it actually increased the accuracy quite a bit.

Personally, I like it. I will be selling it later tonight, cause I'm in the middle of making a second.

Oh, and due to the new spring, the ranges are high 50's.

Nice mods. I would guess for anyone else $40 but for you probably $60- $70.

No offense, but the stock doesn't look very clean. You should have used epoxy, also because hot glue isn't strong, and you wouldn't need as much.

I meant it would look different, not in a bad way. I didn't mean it would look messy.
I would buy it for 35$ if I had the money.

If I was a normal person who couldn't do this myself I'd go 35-$40. But if I was one of your youtube followers (who also couldn't do it myself) I'd go $100.

Wow, so let me get this straight: You used a Nitefinder plunger tube (which does nest almost perfectly around the Recon's plunger tube) to house the spring addition?

While I won't comment on the painjob, I really like the idea. If you painted it more realisticly, you could sell it more towards the LARPing crowd and get alot more for it.

For your next one though, leave the whole Longshot stock intact. It looks so tacky when people go and hack it off there. Whats the point of having it then? Try and attach it so that you cut out a part in the stock for your hand, but so that the bottom of the stock comes close to the handle of the Recon. Sort of like the Halo SMG in it's collapsed form. Also, use epoxy like someone else had mentioned.
