1. Darts go in
2. pump 25 times
3. cock
4. fire
I 'm not sure if it really matters, but it could....
and another thing..

My hornet was defective. It was hitting about 25 or so stock, then all at once the range increased drimatically, and broke in the next couple days.and another thing..

The types of darts used doesn't matter. As for the order of action, it should go like this:Okay then. My hornet is completley stock, I've never even opened it up. I've had it for about a year or so now, and It used to work fine. But for the past few months, It's been being a bitch and only firing the first dart and then whenever I pull the trigger again, It doesn't fire any more darts. And again. No darts. Again. No darts. The only way it ever fires them all is if I hit that side button. Not that it matters, but I use taggers instead of suction cups, and here's the order I load it:
1. Darts go in
2. pump 25 times
3. cock
4. fire

I've noticed that with this blaster as well as the Blastfire, all the barrels won't fire if you reset the barrel sequencer after pumping.
Try that and let me know.

Plus, what I usually do is hit the "blast" button between loadings, so as to "hard reset" everything... I've had barrels just poot out a dart 5-10 feet, then the next barrel throws the damn thing near 30-40 feet. Weird.
So between firings, hit "blast", then pull the sequencer forward then push all the way back, then pump up.
But I like just using the Hornet for one thing; BLAST.

You said you've never opened it up, so my explanation is unlikely, but there is a latch in the slide that closes the valve connected to each barrel. If the tortion spring is in the wrong position, the latch will just hang loose and won't close the valves when there's pressure in the tank.
I had to re-open my hornet twice before I caught that.

Last time I checked mine was hitting 120's flat. It's nothing special. Stop trying to bring back his history of false ranges.

I really wanted to create a breech loading system for all 6 barrels that worked off of the action of cocking the gun, but I never was able to find enough brass... if anyone still has a working hornet and would like to do that, be my guest. Now that I'm at college I don't have access to any guns.

My hornet went about 90'-100' at a 45 degree angle. It only shot one dart though.
