I have a Nerf Longshot and the breach has a tendency to tear up the ends of the darts, especially the 'rear'. This causes frequent jams and is going to cost me for the replacement ammo. Is there a modification out there to remedy this?

Any help given would be helpful, thanks.

Don't slam the breech closed, try closing the breech slower, it should help.

Stock breach or brassed? If stock, cut down you darts.

He looked at the darts after he shot them. My recon does the same thing, but it even has a stock barrel. And how does "for those about to nerf" know what kind of barrel he has?

The gun is completely stock.

P.S. I would kindly like to remind those here that I am completely capable of answering questions about MY guns. Besides, I don't even know what an 'angel breech' is...

You're probably not pulling the bolt or slide back far enough or slowly enough. If you do it too fast then the dart doesn't have time to get pushed up into the receiver before you push the slide or bolt back forward.

Read this. It will do you good. And, incidentally, can help you fix your problem as well as increase range phenomenally, although it is a very tough mod and not for beginners.

Only two breeches out there(that I know Of, Anyways) that won't clip the tail of your darts are the Angel Breech, which is fairly complicated, and my own little design, the Sorrow Breech. just like the Angel Breech, its airtight, but the main difference is this one: its very simple to make. I'll have the Write up for it soon, so if you can be patient enough, it will be available.

You may have the balls, but I have the lack of morality!
