I've recently decided to PPK a nitefinder after doing various other mods. After i finished and shot it the barrel promptly flew out of the coupler, and has done it 4 out of every 5 times since. Is there anything i can do to increase the grip of the coupler or am i out of luck?

Try a thin layer of e-tape.
Did that with the coupler on my BBB and it works wonderfully, although i screw it on instead of just pushing it in.

Not sure if it would work, but you might be able to fix the problem by wrapping the section of barrel that goes inside the coupler with a layer or two of duct tape. Just an idea...

Inside the coupler, okay. Just a bit of the coupler, or the whole thing?

EDIT: Oh, the barrel. Duh. That makes much more sense.

Success! The e-tape layer worked well, and after twisting and fitting the e tape is in the perfect spot. I guess I'll have to do this for my speed loader now. Thanks for the help.

A thin layer of pvc cement works well too, and would be a more permanent solution.

Kind of like super glue in the loose ball joint of a toy. Thats a great suggestion.

The E-tape will not be permanent.

What I find helps is actually using pipe cutters on the end of your barrel.
The part of pipe that goes into the coupler.

If you twist the pipe cutters around the barrel.
In a few different spots make a groove that is about 20% deep.
It should do the trick. This is a permanent solution.
I have had to do it before.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.
