It has occured to me that there is a big part of canada being left out the big nerfing picture. To be more specific, this part.



I live in Edmonton, Alberta. And i do feel very left out of nerf wars. What i think people in the left out area should host nerf wars in the area that they live in. After a month or two of posting this I will try to orginize a nerf war here in Edmonton, Alberta

You should start your own Nerf war out there. I'm in Vancouver, and the only way I could hope to get some big Nerf War over here was to get my friends interested and have them mod their guns and start Nerfing. Now we've got a group of 10 to 16 people that meets once or twice monthly to war.

The problem is that you won't have too many people meeting you randomly from NerfHaven for Nerf unless it's a large enough war. Advertising on NerfHaven will get you at most a handful of Nerfers varying in age (mostly really young kids).

There's really no better way than to get your buds into it.

I think to promote large nerf wars we should start out small. By that I mean we should start encoraging our friends in our area to get into modding and nerf wars. Then in one or two months I'll anounce a large nerf war happing around edmonton or calgary.

Wow, it's too bad there isn't some kind of Nerfer Map you could have used to figure out how underrepresented your chunk of Canada is instead of creating a poll.

Min.tee is the only one of you on there. If you were all on the map, you West-Canadians could all find each other.

Why wait? Theres enough people to have a war already I'v seen 7 active members already including the ones on the hq.

But that way is so more efficient, and you can acually see how many people are there, rather than wait for people to reply in a thread. But me, I live in the US. Washington State, acually, so I am not very far at all from the "Left Part" of Canada. I acually go up to B.C a couple times every couple of years.

Ok I'v added my self on to the map. But the poles say that 4 people live in this part of canada not including myself. Yet the map said there was 4 people including me on the map. since this website is more popular than the map is this is in fact a better way to find out how many people live in the left part of Canada..... "For now"

@ duit14: Here's an example of what I've got going so far. We get around 15 or so people every war (twice a month during summer, once a month during the school year). If you're ever in Vancouver, let me know. I have plans for making a BIG war but that's for next summer (or when the Season of Foam Team decide to make their way up to Vancouver, or when my group has more than 25 attendees on its own).

As for an Edmonton war, if it's during next summer then let me know, since my brother lives down there and I might be able to stay at his apartment. But between now and next summer, I can't even get out of the city. I'd be happy to help out if you've got any questions regarding getting more participants and setting up a war, just pm or somethin'.

@ Langley: Zerves is on the list, but I haven't heard from him about attending any of the NUVO wars, which is a shame.

@ Bomberman: I wasn't aware of this Let me know when you're heading up here next, eh?

I will be in B.C for a school band feild trip. but chances are i cant bring nerf guns on the greyhoung bus and even if i did i would look like a idiot. Im probebly going to be far from you but ill double check later

I tried inviting him and a few other oldies from Vancouver to NUVO, but all are pretty much off the hobby now, Vacc...

EDIT: I should probably note here that I've gone PM'ing various old members who would post on the old VANO thread, and the vast majority haven't replied, and the few who have are off of the hobby. I've even asked someone who was selling modded guns on Craigslist here in Vancouver if he was interested, and even his group has fallen out of it...
