17/32's and 9/16's brass
Epoxy
Silicone lube
A spare O-ring (I had one from a dead NF)
A spring seen here.(Optional)
The Tools
A Drill or some thing to make hole for the 9/16's brass
A saw or pipecutter of some sort to cut the brass

Ok first off do your basic AR removal

Then cut off the aimer.

Then add that oring and lube it.

Ok now to the actual mod drill a hole large enough to put the 2" (It would have worked better if I used 2 1/2") of 9/16's brass in and epoxy it in there.

Now your done just use 4" of 17/32 brass and it should slide in and out to work as a coupler.

Ranges are about 65 with the spring replacement.
The dart holders are pretty good for holding extra barrels.
