After seeing alot of new members post things like "How do I make stefans?" or "What can I do to my magstrike?" I decided to make this thread to help new people since they seem to lazy to use the search button. Anyways heres the list:

Well I mean H2 where do I buy these things to mod? well....

Plumbers Goop: Most all Hardware stores carry in the plumbing section.

PVC: Any hardware store.

FBR: Found at most hardware stores in the weather section etc.. full name is foam backer rod

Hot Glue Gun and Glue: Any hardware store.

Brass: Sort of rare but can be found at lowes I believe.

Brass: Tower Hobbies, True Value Hardware, Metal Supply Companies, Industrial Supply Companies, Ace Hardware (limited), Lowes (limited)

PETG: Can be bought from OMC for 50cents a foot and 5$ flat shipping no matter how many feet are bought.

Hacksaws and other blades: Should be able to find at any Hardware store.

Screwdrivers: Hardware stores all of them sometimes even your dollar store.

Ruler: Staples Depot,Hardware stores.

EPOXY: Any hardware store (mighty putty for the win.)

PVC Cement: At any hardware store.


Well I'm new to modding so which gun should I start off with?
The easiest gun to mod currently is probably the Nite Finder and its also cheap for approximetly 5$ sometimes more and if you have more money try a couplered Air Tech 2000 beast of a gun. Oh and a somewhat worthy 8$ primary is definetly the buzzbee big blast.

Whats the hardest to currently mod?
Well I would have to say the longshot since it has more of a complex internal design.

Also a dremel is pretty key to modding things considering alot of mods need a dremel or else there going to turn out really really fugly.

Having the RIGHT tool for the task at hand is very important. Especially when it comes to safety. (quote captain slug)

Yeah, me and PN tried a WHILE ago.

Things will always be this way, bunch of new people come in, half bad, half good (or less) and it all sorts out by an Administrator. Its been this way for a couple years now, and in my opinion, I like it the way this site is.

Eh, dremels aren't that integral. I get along fine without them.

I know you meant well by this, but I just don't think that this will be helpful. I mean, if some of the fng's are too lazy to use the search button, and they are too lazy to click on the forums button on the home page and look at the stickies, then what makes you think they are going to find this? Even if this is stickied, the fng's are'nt going to look at this, if they are too lazy to look at stickies. And if its not stickied, then, they would have to search for it, which is the problem.

I'd like to support what has already been said about Lowes. They have pretty much no brass, only having copper (yuck) and aluminum (cah-ching.) The huge sucky part is that I quit working at Lowes before I got into nerf modding. Frown!

Oh, and while the gesture is nice, don't bother with making these kinds of topics. If people don't know how to use a forum (I get the feeling that this is the first forum a lot of these people have ever visited) then they will be moderated accordingly.

I have only modded a Nitefinder and I want to do a longshot with your breach. Can you tell me how to do everything because I am too fucking lazy to read the god damned write up all the way through.

The answer to all the above questions is:

Fuck no.

Thats why I spend a lot of time doing the write ups. So you will understand how to do what I did.
I will not say my write ups are perfect. I may have missed something from time to time.
If you have read a write up thread that I have posted, and read every single comment in that thread and you have read the entire thing 5 times. Then and only then can you pm me. Got it!
