Ok, a while back I talked about a patch I did on my crossbow. It was fairly simple, but Famine asked me to post pictures. I got a digital camera for christmas, so here they are.





Ok, so all I did was re-enforce the pastic part with some iron rods I got at home depot, and then put some brass pipe over the connection of the plastic to the wood.

The wood was there when I got it, the x-bow was pretty screwed up, and I payed way too much for it. All and all, it performs ok, but nothing to write home about.

I spy a white PVC coupler, possibly for breech loading. Besides, the barrel isn't the focal point of this thread; we're focusing on the "patch" of the cocking handle. Looks pretty jury-rigged, but I bet it works fine.

Oh yes, it does work fine, it's very average for a crossbow. And yes you spyed a pvc coupler for a breech loader, in which the barrel was left on another gun I currently don't have in my immediate possesion. And just so Alex doesn't again open his ass...or I mean mouth....sorry always get those two confused on him....I'm getting the barrel back as soon as I war again, allowed someone to borrow the barrel and forgot to get it back. They're replaceable anyways. Either way, I'd like to hear some feedback, not stupid remarks which reading are tatamount to me slamming my dick in a cabinet (not pointed at you janga). Anyway, feedback is welcomed and asked.

The improvision was great, but wood? Come on, the guy could have atleast used some kind of metal or plastic. That's like covering a hole in a gun with clay.

Well, you have to keep in mind the weight constraints. I was thinking as I looked at the pic, why not add brass along that whole length to make it more sturdy... Or something similar. But, the more weight you have on the handle end of the plunger, the slower the air will be delivered due to the resistance. I'm not sure if wood is the best material, but it's far from the worst.

Good point my friend. One reason I didn't use brass over the whole thing, is because it had to stop at one point or the plunger wouldn't go into the tube. Second, I didn't use it on the other end cause it was unnessecary. That thing holds extremely strong. And yes, the wood sucks, but it works surpisingly. Arcanis sold me a new back to the cocking arm, so it will soon be replaced, but I thought this was important enough showing that you can do anything to a crossbow and it will still work.
