I'm tenderfoot, going on second class in a few requirements.

i was in it for one year but i had 2 fags and a bunch of other people who thought they were all that, and all we ever did was lame crap like yard sales and coloring eggs

I'm nearly first class. My scout master is an ass, though, and picks, like, one scout every two weeks for a review. In 1097, that means it'll be a while.

Doesn't help that he flipped out when I semi-permanently dyed my hair red, either.

Keep up the work for those of you who are working towards it. It is worth the hard work.

I'm an Eagle Scout and currently an Assistant Scoutmaster (when at home ) of Troop 57 East Hampton, CT, not T57 East Hartford. It's not too thrifty to drive 200 miles home every week for a Tuesday meeting and back.

edit> I forgot to mention that if you guys go to Jambo's or NOAC's you can find me cooking in the T.O.A.P. site. Unfortunately as of now, T.O.A.P. isn't on the schedule for the 2010 Jambo. The higher-ups are working on it. If we're gonna be there, I will be there.

I used to be a 1st class for about three years because the scout master disliked me. Why? Because I drove up his insurance costs or something like that because of an accident I got into while camping. 1 year after I quit the troop disbanded. The really sad thing is that I had all the requirements to be an eagle scout aside from the interview things

Didn't make it past cub scouts, being partially anarchist, I found that it wasn't really up my alley. Plus they aren't ok with gays, I didn't like it when my (incredibly gay) friend couldn't join last year.

Just for clarification, I quit when I was about 8-9 years old. I am now old enough to be here. I am not 8.

Congrats to all you that made it to eagle, that must have taken some work.

I finished up my eagle back in spring of 2004, with troop 491, San Gabriel Valley Council, Valle Del Sol District. Apollo 256, Overlord, and Snake (fellow Clanmates) all have their Eagle too.

Definitely worth the effort, in every way. Surprised I didn't see this thread sooner, though...

One thing I remember being big at Jamborees and other council, nation, and worldwide events was Council Patch Trading, etc. I wasn't a huge collector, but I know a lot of people who got really into patch trading. As you're posting, if you'd like, post a photo of your council patch as the thread goes along. There have been lots of really cool council patches I've seen (including one with Yoda's face on it) so this could be fun.

Yeah, im a boyscout, but my friends and I really don't try for the advancements. we kinda just gave up, even though we are REALLY active. (T93 represent). And yeah I'm surprised there are so many scouts in nerf too.
2nd class and... uhhh some reqs left... not trying here. mind you, we gave up the minute we hit second class. DONT HATE ME *hides in a corner*
