I've been experimenting with various types of ammunition for nerf guns, and since i've never been to a war before, i thought i should ask:

Are all sized stefans acceptable?

For instance if i were to make 3 or so stefans that when put end-to-end matched the length of a standard streamline, would this be acceptable to use in a war? I do this to create a nice burst fire effect. ^_^

It would probably be legal but not practical. The time it takes to load those three, You could have one that might shoot farther and more accurate.

All sizes and diameters are usually accepted, it's the firepower of the gun that fires them that is usually the problem.

If there are any more questions, ask the Organizer of the nerf war you'll be going to.

You're right about the fire power and the reload times. I think they would best be used in a sidearm like a pistol.
That is unless i could have pre-loaded inter-changeable barrels for the gun.

Yeah, the pre-loaded barrels are a good idea. I used this exact tactic for SENO, by shotgun loading my barrels with three really short stefans. This is good idea if your gun has enough power to propel all the darts. I use this in my converted hi-power watergun, but recently found out my cpvc'd-doubled spring NF is also able to do this (at a lost of 5-10 ft, but hey, it's a shotgun now). It's pretty devastating.

Well, last time I did this, I took 2 one inch stefans and loaded them into my BBB and it's pretty useful, also I have a Nitefinder that can fit about 3 of those one inch stefans and it's a good secondary/backup gun.
Most of the time, I get bored and cut up my stefans into little tiny pieces and load it into my gun and it works pretty well...e.g. I took a wildfire and loaded 40 .5 inch or .75 inch stefans and it was crazy...although about half of the stefans fell to the floor.....
In my opinion: this is a good tactic if your gun has no range (compared to other peoples guns) and you can run fast, (load like 5 "mini" stefans in a really long barrel, charge at your opponent, which should only have one shot [or 2 with a secondary] and when you shoot, it decreases the chance of them being able to dodge).

I add 1/2 inch CPVC couplers to spots on my gun where they're out of the way for normal operation, but easy to get to, usually three or so. I store my extra barrels there, preloaded, and that way I can fire, change barrels, and slot the other barrel back in the coupler, and reload it on the run.

I get all giddy when I see VACC browsing a stupid topic. I just know someone is going to get banned.
