I recently acquired a NatGeo Roto Rocket gun from a thrift store. The problem with it is, when I pump it a certain amount, usually like 15-17 times, all the pressure will be released, as if I was actually shooting it. I don't know if this has to do with it, but when I was first using it, the valve must have been stuck open, because when I pumped it all the air just flowed right out. It later started to hold pressure like it should, but now I have this problem. I don't know if this is part of the problem either, but the "ball" sounds like it is rolling around in the shell freely. I think the the press of the launch button is also more difficult than it should be. Considering this is for little kids, the button should be easier to push, and it takes me both of my thumbs to press it, so that might be related to the problem I'm having.

Not to double post, but I think I figured out the problem. It was mostly my own stupidity and the finicky safety device. I managed to open up the gun and remove the safety, so no more problems should occur.

Expect lots of problems from this fucker. The valve system is just way to finicky to be reliable.

Yeah, I realized after about 5 minutes of using the gun. I still am not sure about how I was able to fire it flat with the safety still in it, I most have shook it the right way that the safety got semi lodged. Now that the sefety is gone, I should be fine.

Also, I haven't seen anybody mod one of these by cutting down the barrel, will that mess up the gun or something?

You can flre it flat stock by pulling the trigger halfway at 45 degrees then leveling it.

Replace the valve with a 2k tank with the very back cut off.

Well that would require you to extend the pin in the tank, and then make a new seal. Also, you lose most of the range of the gun.
All the power of the national geographic gun comes from the valve. The valve is a special type thats basically a spring loaded normal valve. When you push the button, the plastic peice can allow the pin to go back, which is being pushed back by all of the pressure, making it shoot back very quickly.
Lastly, 45 degrees does matter. The titan only shoots STRAIT, not when it is tilted up. The NGG shoots only when it is about a 30-45 degree angle.
