Ok, so i just got my first longshot yesterday and i do like it. Ranges suck terribly. (talk about contradiction!)

I have just an AR removal with a NF spring addition. I tried the BBB and a bunch of other spring options but they are either to harf to cock or to weak. I tried a copper barrel mod but that did nothing. Took it out and im back to basics.

I really want to single it and give the clips to my afamed recon. Then again a massive high range clip fed rifle sounds great, but i don't have supplies or money.

I have all the supplies i need for the singling, is that a calling or what?

So i have 1/2 inch CPVC, PVC, and copper. and about a foot of 9/16 brass. I also have some PEX pipe, it's like a combination between PETG and CPVC.

Any ideas? or should i go ahead and respond to my calling and single it.

Look at this mod. My idea, full range with a breech.

Try it if you can. There are suggestions at the bottom for more improvements.

I highly suggest my mod. I LOVE my longshot now! I would only suggest a 5 or 6 inch barrel and DON'T shove your darts into the CPVC bolt.

I suggest you go to that link and see the mod. What you do is pull back the bolt like always, but then you put a dart in the chamber and then close the bolt.

Oh sorry, i misunderstood your previous post.

I did look at the link and it seems very promising.
Did you say to shorten the barrel length, you suggested a 5-6 inch barrel?

If your going to single it, might as well get rid of the need for a bolt sled as well. Here's how I did it. Still work's beautifully, and I've put over 300 rounds through it without malfunction.

EDIT: My barrel is 9 inches. That works well for my darts, which fit quite snugly.

I know its bad,

But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Im not sure i want to go and get rid of the bolt sled entirely. Its carbon fiber reinforced so its got some money on it.

Plus you use a lot mor CPVC than Lynx/galaxy does....i think. I only have about a foot and a half left.
Then again, how long are your darts? Im either using modified streamlines or stefan equilavents.

Thanks for all help provided,

No, the coupler came out, but was quickly fixed with a bit of super glue.
