To my maverick I:
-Did the penny mod
-Replaced the barrels with cpvc
-Gave it a paintjob
-Did CaptainSlugs Turret Ratchet Mechanism mod
-Did CaptainSlugs weak trigger spring mod
-Replaced the catch spring.
-Sealed the cylinder gap.
-Russian Roulette mod
-Straw mod
Both can be found here:

So what else should I do to my Maverick? I kept searching for new mods but couldn't come up with anything :D .

Also on the Maverick plunger where the air comes out. There is an oval shaped hole and extra plastic on the bottom of it. Would it be possible to dremel out the extra plastic on the bottom, so there would be more air output?

Thanks :)

I guess you could do the straw mod. Look for it in the directory.

Maybe I was doing something wrong, but the straw mod never really worked out for me at least. The first time I did it, it made the gun useless and the second time it just decreased the range by a little. Not that I wouldn't try it again on an unimportant Maverick, but it sounds like you've spent a lot of time on it, and it might not be worth the risk. Then again, it could only mess up the barrel so if you've got some extras, why not?

Put epoxy putty on the tab to reinforce it.

When/if it breaks just make another out epoxy putty.

I don't know if there's been any different lately, but the "plunger" tab, where the slide bar engages the plunger for priming, is a weak link in the Mav. Putting pennies to give more spring tension is in my opinion, the most you ought to do to increase spring rate. More tension=more tendency for that tab to break.

The two broken Mavericks I acquired were broken on that tab. I tried epoxying tabs back, using a zip tie, and I haven't been able to get it to stay enough to cock the plunger back once or twice, then that's it. Broke-ville.

But it's your Mav. You decide what and how to mod it. I'd personally rather use a NiteFinder and a handful of darts. But that's me.

You know, you could move on to another gun. Try modding a NF. Or a BBB. A Magstrike? Just a suggestion. Hey once you've done everything, move on.

Do you mind posting a pic of your maverick?

Listen to this man. Try to find a Disk Shot expansion pack; those are sexy pistols.

If I put a new o-ring on the plunger, do you think that would squeeze a few extra feet out of my maverick?

Yes it definitely could add range but it could also decrease it. Make sure the fit is good enough to make a seal but not too tight so that the gun won't be able to move the plunger easily. If you feel you have the right size add some silicone lube and that should increase the range.

I did the straw mod. My barrel won't rotate though. Everything is in its place like it is supposed to be, but when I pull the trigger the barrel doesn't budge. What could be the problem?
