Well, as promised, I put together a video detailing some of the techniques I used on my two steampunk guns. I covered how to create the worn metal effect, and how to use inks. I'll have to make another video with the wood technique.

I'd like to know how you guys want to solve this. I worked fairly hard to finish this in a timely manner, and have put up with many distractions. (Most notably the F22 that was flying above my neighborhood all day. Those fuckers are loud!)

EDIT:

Well, you can disregard most of the posts. I have hosted the files on rapidshare. The links are further down the page. If for some reason you can't use rapid share, I can still email the video. I hope you enjoy the nice full screen video. I feel that the slight inconvenience of downloading it is worth not putting up with shitty youtube quality.

Comment away!

Beg CS or Rambo for them to host it on their sites.

I looked into Rapidshare a bit more, and it is free. I'm currently uploading it. Looks like it will be 5 .rar's, so you guys will probably have to put up with download limits. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll post the links when everythings up.

Why don't you just start the youtube upload right before you leave for your trip?

Another option would be to break it up into chunks and put it on Youtube...

I vote #2. I could seed it for a while too, although I have a feeling this isn't going to be the most popular option.

Either way, thanks for taking the time to make the video. My main project right now is much more aesthetic than functional and I'd like to try and achieve some of the same effects as your blasters.

You need all of the parts to decompress it. WinRAR will recombine them.

What is winrar? I use stuffit to uncompress files. They aren't working for me though, all 5.
