What about cpvc? Not to mention your questions you have can be answered by the sticky in the Modification directory.

Oh, Ok i never realized that my question could be answered in the directory
That my fault i guess
And i felt that Cvpc went into the PVC category or it would go into the other category

PVC since everything can fit into it.

PETG, brass and even CPVC fits into it.

Just telescope brass in PVC or put PETG in PVC for a nice fit on stefans.

CPVC also is a great choice for springers.

You can leave a tiny bit off on the top so stock darts can get a small bit of snugness on the tip of the dart.

1/2" PVC couplers are the best thing you can get.

Crayola marker shells are a beautifully snug fit for micro darts- no more than a basic AR removal and a Crayola barrel turns the Big Bad Bow into a very fun thing indeed.

I voted PETG. Though, it all depends on your darts and how they fit in different barrel materials. PETG is cheap, low friction, and easily found (OMC). Brass is very expensive and can be hard to find, but it's much more rigid and comes in increments of 1/32", so you can pretty much find a good fit for your darts. PVC works with stock darts and mega Stefans.

The best barrel material is the one that fits your darts. There's no one correct answer.

Ok... you guys seriously...

Each material has pros and cons:

Brass: good for breaches, many sizes, expensive.

Pvc: cheap, not as consitant as any other material.

Petg: fairly cheap, almost perfect fit for some stefen's, flimsy.

I used aluminum tubing from McMaster. (item number 9056K673). The ID is .509, so it's a perfect fit for most darts, stock darts especially. The price is a little high at $7, but the wall thickness is larger, so it wont bend like brass. Also being aluminum, it is easy to cut (I use a hacksaw)

It is really a matter of preference. I prefer PETG because you can make intricate breeches with it as it can be cut with a box knife.

Stagger Brass/PETG/CPVC in PVC.

The foam hits the staggered material and the tip hits the pvc. Perfect fits.

Although I would be tempted to say PETG, the brass is the only stuff I can get my hands on.

Years ago, I was a stock-dart-only guy too. If you're just using stock darts (taggers specifically) sch. 40 1/2" pvc is a good materal. I didn't say barrel because I've never used it as a barrel, but I've made several blowdarts and it's nearly perfect.

Also, 17/32" brass fits stock darts well, but only for guns with short barrels because the tip doesn't fit inside, naturally.

Not to deviate from the subject, but you should seriously try steffans. I thought the gun was all that mattered, but even my crude first batch of darts upped the range on my nf by 15'.
