Hello, this is my first post. I recently purchased a splitfire. I don't have any megas so I hoped i will shoot micros. It came with the pegs removed. It shot the dart but not well. A crazy thought in my head said to put the dart in backwards. I did and my range was greatly increased. I have tried this with all micro darts and it worked best with sonic darts. There is only one downside. My accuracy decreased but I don't care. To me this means I don't need to make mega stefans or do a barrel replacement. No official range test yet but it hits my living room wall which is about 25. It makes me happy.

As a former splitfire owner, I can tell you that even a stock splitfire can hit 40 ft, easy (I think nerfcenter said 60) with stock megas. Yuo can probably get some from habro. It's well worth the investment if you're willing to spend a little bit more money. That said, that's nice to know in a pinch, if I ever have a splitfire again, i'll keep it in mind.

I tried this with my Sharpshooter 2 before I had megas. It just doesn't work as well as the right ammo. I later purchased 40 mega darts new in packages off of ebay, so now I have ammo for my older guns.

Or just modify it to shoot micro darts. That's what I would do, I would use brass or petg.

They sell megas at my target. If you shop around for refill packs I'm sure you'll be able to find something.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
