I'm not complaining about the rate of fire, but would it really be able to hold it's own against an X-bow that could shoot 150+ feet?

Exactly. The Vulcan seems to do a good job of improving on all the weaknesses of the RF20: namely, slow reload time, pumping, and rapidly diminishing range. It's not a gun that you'd use for everything, but it'll rock in its particular niche.I really do think this has potential as CTF defense. It also has potential if you can get in close enough to the enemy's base, you can put down enough cover fire for plenty of teammates to move in.
