You should have gotten a video of it firing.

Can't wait for internal pictures. I've been trying to find one, but nobody has any Vulcans near me.

Alright I will when im done with the modifications.

How deep would you say the screw wells are? How big are the screw heads? I just purchased the Vulcan value pack from Wal-Mart.com for $39.96 with free shipping!!!!

AR removal, possibly changing the barell material in the chains, cosmetics, and an integration.

So...when are you getting it opened up? As in, what time do you think you will be able to get a screwdriver?

This thread is fucking retarded.

Keep all posts about the Vulcan here and in the other damned thread.

The Vulcan sounds very good out of box.

Take out the pegs in the chain and the air restrictors in the gun itself. Also, improve the seal and up the voltage with a drill battery or something like that. It's a beast that won't be allowed in a war since it is WAY to good. I bet it will shoot up to 60-70.

I just finished taking out the other AR and it shot 65 consistantly. And yes before anyone asks I do have internal pics and i will edit them in once they upload.

I disagree...

Armageddon has a history of being more stingy about what guns aren't allowed, etc. than pretty much any other war. Yeah, we can be jerks. Oh well.

Fact is, I have absolutely no problem with anyone using one of these at a So Cal war. Sure, they're legal. How can I possibly have a problem with a pseudo-automatic battery-operated gun that weighs more than MINE does?

It may turn out to be a great gun. I'd be thrilled! It'd give me something to mount inside the bed of my friend's truck for drive-bys. Doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be war practical in the long run. But we'll see.

I have a general question about the vulcan. How long can you fire the gun on automatic before the batteries run out?

This could have been found out by searching. While this is not the worst necro I have ever seen, it is not adivsed to post in a topic that is more than 3 weeks old, to avoid the wrath of the admins. Just giving you the heads up.

I've run at least 20 belts on one set of D cells, and each cell still tests out almost as if it were new.

But those were fresh Duracells, bought the day my first Vulcan arrived. A great deal depends on the quality of the cells themselves, but I think you can count on 50+ belts from a good set, likely a lot more.

Note also that when devices based on a battery* of cells like this run down, most of the time only one or two of the cells are really depleted. Any $3 tester can tell you which is which. I wouldn't recommend those free LCD strip things, though - they use up a surprising amount of energy because they're essentially heating elements.

*note that one cell is just a cell - NOT really a battery. There are exceptions, like 9V and lantern batteries, but most of what we often call batteries are really just cells.

Thank you!
Also - as far as it being a "necro" I'm sure I've seen admins say three months, not three weeks. And I'd love for you to post a link to where you claim the answer could be searched out. I think I've read every Vulcan thread ever, and obviously I missed that one ...

I was wondering about the battery life on the Vulcan myself, to be honest.
I'm sure that they will drain faster if you hook them up in parallel or something, or use a 9v instead. I use 9v batteries in some of my electrical stuff, and they tend to drain fast if you don't use resistors carefully.

I'm still laughing at the claimed 65 foot ranges, to be honest.

Not saying that it won't or can't. I project that mine with the drum mag (brassed, plunger tube replacement, bbb+ls spring combo, battery replacement, on the fly power swap so on and so forth) will hit 80+ consistently. He claimed 65 with an ar removal.
