Yep, it was used against the Nazis in WWII. Completely owns in urban warfare.

Or it might just be firing a higher caliber round. not necasarly shotgun shot.

If you look closely, you see that part of the ejected shell is reddish, and the end of it is bronze/gold.
That's what a Spread shell looks like, for the most part.
There is also, Y'know, the massive spread pattern on whatever's getting blown in half.
