Yeah I never really got any results with frost king either. As for using a search engine I have tried and came up with a lot of different choices. That is why I made this thread so I can get a definitive answer on which foam I should buy.I googled it and got alot of results. Or you could go to your local hardware store and look (Home Depo, Lowes, Ace). Shadowblade is right by the way, frost king blows.

10ft for $3 w/o shipping. I got my foam at ACE, it works decently with my CPVC, but for PETG it's a little loose. Even with thick walled PETG it slides down.

I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

So, do you know if it is the same as FK? The tip problem can get annoying...Thats what I found at my home depot too... I have the same problem with my garage door and garbage can with my air powered guns...

And the people whining about Frost King foam: it's all dependent on the particular batch that bag happens to come out of. I've seen dark gray Frost King foam that's squishy and impossible to make darts out of and I've also seen fat light gray foam that's crusty and too tight for all my barrels. The only problem with Frost King is their consistency from batch to batch and sometimes bag to bag, and since the vast majority of people that buy FBR don't give a shit about how it feels you're probably not going to find a company that does make consistent foam.

Some people have gotten the White Backer Rod from this site with good success: http://www.aloghomes...acker-rod.shtml

I got some from that website, and it is terrible. It was pretty dense, but it was almost as big as mega sized foam.

Yeah, that's good foam. Also, ACE hardware carries good foam. It's usually around the checkout stand. But it's sometimes where it should be. It's usually by the checkout stand at my ACE, but I was at one in Portland and it was where it should be. It's gray, it's really dense, probably near-quality of Blacksunshine's darts, and it make pretty accurate darts.I have had 3 bags of Frost King foam and each bag blows. I couldn't get the foam to shrink in the dryer. So far my favorite type of FBR is Lowes brand ( I think its Lowes home brand, but I can't be sure ). It comes in a purple and clear bag.
It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

Sorry for the low quality pictures, and on the top (since when I got home I immediately opened the bag and ripped it apart) is says "Backing Rod."
Also, It is 1/2 inches thick and 20 feet long.

Yup, that's the MD stuff. It's pretty good density and consistency. I dunno if its just relabeled Frost King.

Thats what I have and love it. It's the best foam I've ever used.

Well, I've never found FBR at home depot, but I went to a Lowe's recently and (although I wasn't looking for it), I found some FBR, here's a picture of it:

Heating causes foam to expand. Stretch your foam if you want it to shrink.
