Ok, so I prefer springers over air guns because of the RoF. So I wanted to know what you think is the most powerful springer. Please mention any gun that I missed. Thanks

Whoever voted for the xbow and maxshot must not own/have fired many powerful springers.

Based on sheer power, the Ultimator or XXL bazooka, because technically they're springers. Then comes the +bow, Maximizer (bigger, older version of the maxshot) and the pump shotgun.

Of course, that's just my opinion.

I'm going to be honest. The ERTL pump shotgun is probably the farthest shooting, the Xbow the most accurate, the Maxshot most impressive all around(for it's size, that is), and the Longshot best rate of fire and potential. I don't really know where the LOTR xbow fits in, but I do know that all of the above-mentioned aspects could be considered power. You need to be more specific. Do you want accuracy, range, rate of fire, pain, what? If you want all of them I would say a Xbow or, even though I don't currently own one, a +bow.

EDIT: Ok, in that case, either an Xbow or a ERTL Pump Shotgun.

ERTL Shotgun. Never had one but I know from tests and a personal friend who has one that it shoots farther than the Xbow. If modded right. That was the only contender.

It is called a trigger fire... Badger got in the 80s with his but Im fairly certain Im going past that mark with mine...

I dont consider the reactor to be a springer anyways... Its more of a ramrocket type gun....

The Trigger Fire is alright, but its ranges don't excede well done nf mods. Maybe with a good spring replacment it could compete with the xbow.

I voted the xbow because people have posted ranges of theirs being 90-130', which is pretty damn far. They may be BSing, but who knows. Also, I thought that the Maxshot and pump shotgun shot 100', but I'm probably wrong. Plus airguns are way more awesomer than spring guns, you'll see in my next post.

F_a24's shotgun got 164'. That is definitely gonna out shoot...pretty much anything (in terms of range).

I am going to have to agree with this.

The Pump action shotgun level 2 has gotten the best range test I have ever seen from a spring type gun.
I still remember the day I range tested it. It shot farther than the measuring tape which I only rolled out to around 120 feet. Once I rolled out the tape farther I learned it had broken the 160 mark.

After some basic use and sitting on the shelf for a few months, it was only able to fire about 140.

By the time APOC came around last year it was shooting a bit less than that. It was kicking ass the entire war until the second last round. When the trigger had broken.

I honestly feel the strongest spring gun if modded properly could be the Ultimator or any other Spring powered Uber rocket launcher.

Even though I've seen both the ERTL shottie and the +bow in action, I still swear by my LS. I can shoot 130ft with it accurately (ask anyone that attended SPANO) and after I rechamber it with brass (NOT AN ANGEL BREECH,) I'll be able to shoot even further and more accurately.

I'm pretty sure its an eleven inch spring. I vote the ERTL PumpShot Gun. I did no where near what FA_24 did to his and I'm getting 90' plus.

I'm not sure there's really much else good that's going to come out of this discussion. It's obvious that it depends entirely on how much work you put into it, as well as how well your dart/barrel match, barrel system, etc. all work together. Everyone gets different results. FA24's pump shotty at its peak is the furthest I've ever heard of, but that doesn't mean the pump shotgun is the end all. It certainly has the potential to do that, but as he said, the range did depreciate rather dramatically (though the fact that it hit a plateau around 140' is still FAR more than enough for nerfing, and very impressive) and not everyone mods exactly like FA24 does. If you can find something that works for you and and you can settle into using it, it doesn't matter which is the best, because yours will become the best for you.

After all...a gun with incredible range is shite and worthless if you can't hit anything with it. I, personally, don't settle well into a pump shotgun. I just can't seem to get one to shoot where I want it to. But my crossbow goes exactly where I want it to (sometimes when I don't fully aim it...) Fact is, my crossbow "understands me", after a fashion, so we work together well. Can't shoot as far as FA24's shotgun by a little, but I wouldn't be any better off with his gun, because it isn't what I work well with. The same is probably true in his case. From what I've heard, he's pretty damned accurate with it. Doesn't mean that he can shoot everything that well. I know I can't.

So again...find something you like instead of looking for "the best", and it'll be better than "the best" would be in your hands.

Well, Angles here can make it so. Of course, we are talking about a practical mortar shot here. Angled to high heaven, but I bet it can hit 130'.
