I finally got the rest of the stuff I needed for my medieval outfit, so here it is.
:picage:

I'm hoping you got steak on a stake or a turkey leg. Otherwise, you must be completely insane.

Well as turkeys are native to the Americas, I didn't get that and I didn't see any steak, so I am definitely insane.

It was in Bristol Wisconsin. I abhor the renaissance, I just decided to go to get materials for more items. I found an entire cowhide for $50.

A slightly old thread, but I finally finished a project last weekend that I've been working on since early July. I've been working on rehabbing a 70 year old shed into a chicken coop. It was a chicken coop originally, but had been a junk shed for probably the past 20 years, with an interesting assortment of chemicals stored inside. Along with five species of stinging insects. The whole project has been - clean out the shed - tear out the old walls and ceiling - evict the wasps - cut out and replace rotten framework, and anchor to masonry - frame eight windows, vents and doors - insulate - rewall - fence in the 20x30 run - build roosts and nest boxes.

Ripped out walls:

And with the new occupants.

Have you ever driven three hours with 25 chickens in the back of a truck? It's an adventure in smell and sound.

Anyway, the hens seem pretty happy with the arrangement thus far. Two days, 27 eggs so far. And now that this project is over, maybe I can start building some nerf guns again....

I have this sudden mental image of a BIG SNAP firing hard-boiled eggs dyed Nerf Orange, peppering an entire field with protein-rich, high-cholesterol goodness. :)

Nice mapping. I have to compliment it every time I see it. My problem with most FPS games is what I call Counter Strike Syndrome, in where the guns are so far to the side, that it looks like you are shooting at something not in the middle of the screen, but on the other side.

But, the gun is mapped and textured so well it makes the rest of it look a bit weird. Just some friendly advice, and as I know NOTHING about mapping and texturing myself, I don't know what kinda work that would be for you.

Its still in development and I just finished the first level. If anyone wants a demo just tell me and Ill upload something. Right now I cant work on it because I switched to Vista and it SUCKS, but I still have the first level if anyone wants it.

EDIT- Oh yeah if you look at the wall you can see a small grey shadow. Thats a bug. When I shot someone he flew through the ceiling and his shadow stayed there. I think I need to fix it.

A quick question, is it a stand-alone game or a mod for an existing game?

Btw, is that a Glock 18 in the pic?

Wait, Carbon, are you a farmer?

There's a barn in my backyard, does that count?

I live on a farm (renting), but it's not my day job. We're just hoping get a bit of extra income from this venture. My wife has always wanted chickens, so she talked to the landlord about it, and he thought it was a great idea...something he would have done himself, if he had the time. The landlord does organic farming on the fields behind the house, about 10 acres or so. The cool thing is that all this is happening in a pretty urban area.

Also it is the Full Auto version of the G18.

The Glock 18 is the automatic brother of the Glock 17. There is not a Glock 18 that isn't full auto.

I'm pretty dure that either your mapping method is sucking the reolution out of your textures, or you need to use a much higher resolution on the walls and such. They look 90s-esque compared to the texture of the gloves, enemies, and guns.
