So, i had slapped on a Crayola on my NF a while ago, and then it was getting ranges of about 50-55 feet. Now, i shot it and it went 25 feet. I checked the seals, looked at other problems people had, and even put bands, but it just doesn't shoot right.

(the barrel is a bit longer than the stock ones, and i have 1 gram weights in my darts)

Anything?(I've tried to put tape around the plunder, and it went 10 feet. I took the tape of and re-lubed it.)

A quick way to fix this if the problem isn't in the plunger rod/tube is to glue the crayola directly on to the plunger tube.

It's a distinct possibility. But seriously, that's all you could come up with? You are a terrible Troll.

[pirate sarcasm] Argghhh! Tape around the plunder, why do that, matey? Reef the mainsail, sheet the jib, and swab the deck! [/pirate sarcasm]

Pictures would help, but I'm guessing your prblem is the crayola barrel, or that maybe it got broken loose from wherever it was glued on.

5. Protip: sarcasm is good for making someone else look like more of an idiot than they already do. However, if you are an idiot to start with, using sarcasm just makes you look like a COLOSSAL idiot.

Haven't thought of that, thought Epoxy Putty would work. I'll check after school.

Yea, check that barrel and make sure it's sealed up good like. Broken seals = Effeminate FAIL!!

If the barrel isn't the problem, I often find that a seemingly mysterious loss of performance ends up being due to the seal within the plunger itself. The stock o-ring that is fitted inside most plungers is fairly thin and doesn't create enough of a seal in my opinion. Replacing that o-ring always seems to do the trick for me in addition to giving my blasters a little extra blast.

Even if the o-ring isn't a factor with your blaster's decrease in performance, replacing it is something I do in every blaster. I don't have any o-ring size to blaster combinations handy since I test different sizes until I find the right one for the job which varies even with the same blaster model.

Best of luck in finding the cause of the problem and if you figure it out, let us know.

Make sure there isn't a dart in the plunger tube. It happens sometimes.

Its working now. I'm just happy its able to shoot without bands(improvement). I guess i could retry the seal and add a few bands to see how good the ranges get.

I would suggest checking the air tightness of the plunger... also re-lubing it is probably a good idea. Hope this helps. =]
