When I pump my AT2k, the pump slides very easily, but not very much air comes out. I also need to pump it a number of times to fill the tank, unlike the usual 3-5 pumps. What do you think the problem is?

The oring in the pump is most likely dried out. Or shrunk. You should take the pump out, take off the oring, wrap a layer of electrical tape around the pump shaft under the oring. then put the oring back on and lubricate the whole pump tube with some silicone based lubricant.

Take a look at the pump housing and all the tubing for leaks. Also, the check valves (one-way valves that should be on the tank and pump) may be stuck. Sometimes that will happen and it will take a bit of extra pressure to force them open and fill up the tank, meaning more pumps. You could try spraying a drop or two of silicone lubricant on them (you might be forced to cut the tubing to get access, and re-seal it when finished) and see if it helps. If the pump housing and/or tank have leaks, then spread some epoxy over the hole. If you need new tubing, try going to Lowe's or Home Depot. Most guns use clear vinyl tubing with an inner diameter (ID) of 1/8" and an outer diameter (OD) of 1/4" with 1/16" thick walls. Measure the tubes on your gun first, though. When you reassemble the gun, wash out the pump housing and pump, then reapply some silicone lube. In the event that the O-ring dried out, that will help. You could also buy a new O-ring. I would advise against wrapping electrical tape around the pump shaft because that may block the check valve that lets air into the pump housing, depending on what type of pump it is.

Alright, so I put a o-ring that was a bit to thick on it, and I was very surprised. It actually filled the tank about 1/3 of the way with one pump, but since the O-ring is so fat, it was nearly impossible to pull back out. When I finally did, it made a popping noise, so I guess the problem was the O-ring after all. I plan to get a slightly smaller one tomorrow. I didn't think that the tubing was leaking, because I could pump it at any rate and it would still give out the same amount of pressure. In the past when I had a leak, I would have to pump quite rapidly at first, and then the tank might hold pressure.

I did that and I sprayed some on the o-ring itself. Maybe I didn't use enough. I got a slightly smaller O-ring this morning, it seems better than the stock one, but it's not giving out as much air as the fat one.

Well, I fixed the problem. What I did was, I put a very short peice of E-tape on the end of the pump. Then, I put a new O-ring that was roughly the size of the original one over that. I left the goo gage on the gun, so now it takes about 3-4 pumps for the goo gage to go all the way up. Thanks for helping everyone.
