So I recently acquired a Maxshot and couplered it to shoot megas. Now, I have heard great ranges from the Maxshot, I get 66' average. I know megas get lower ranges, but not that much lower. I notice the darts spin wildly out of control 8 times out of 10. I dont think the problem is with the stefans, as I have never had this problem before. I'm using a 5" barrel, which should be perfect for this gun. I really cant figure out why my ranges are so poor. Any thoughts?

If your darts are spinning out, you need a longer barrel. Anyway, 5" strikes me as too short for a MaxShot in the first place.

I just tested with an 8" barrel... one dart got about 110', but many tailspin out at around 75'. But, theres a storm just coming in, so I'll have to wait until it calms to do some accurate testing.

So I got out and did some testing. Ranges are as expected, 95'-105'. Turns out I just needed a longer barrel and heavier darts. Thanks for the help everyone.
