Silencer, the steampunk rifle is not actually steam-powered. Basically, the guy completely made up several paragraphs of BS describing what the gun could do, when it really was all fantasy. It's just a longshot mod with a pretty base and heavy decoration. I thought it was kind of funny that he took the time to write all of that...

Heh, it helped get him hundreds of dollars. I wouldn't consider it a waste of time.
The steampunk LARP community loves this sort of thing. Make an auction write-up that caters to your demographic , and your product is more likely to sell. It DOES look cool, but it would be a pain to try to carry around due to all the brass.
